RESUMO

The creation of the Banco Nacional de HabitaÃÃo (BNH) and the necessity to supply the Brazilian habitation deficit mainly for the band of the population with minor purchasing power, directed the market of the civil construction to search for new constructive systems as alternative to the products and traditional processes. The resistant masonry with hollow ceramic blocks or blocks made of concrete to be used in closure masonry (fence) to provide for the needs of the moment. The system becomes incompatible because of the low resistance of the ceramic and concrete blocks, due to inconsistent processes of manufacture, producing pathological manifestations in the constructions, mainly in the masonry of basement becoming inadequate its use. This work intends to contribute to the identification of methods that are viable for the recovery of resistant masonry reached by deriving pathological manifestations of the materials used for the foundations
