RESUMO

The purpose of this study was to investigate the abrasivity of three dentifriees on the eervieal surfaee Ounetion eement-enamel) of the premolar teeth, by meehanie bruehing. Twenty four premolar were using in this study. The root was eut to got samples with 15 mm long. Afterwards the samples were submitted to 30,000 eycling in a brushing meehanie Equilabor with dentifriees (Sorriso, Sensodyne and Colgate branqueador) and toothbrushe Oral - B. Roughness was verified using (Surf-eorder, SE 1700) before and after toothbrushing. The results were submitted to varianee analyses and Tukey s test (p<0.05). The data indieated that the meehanie brushing showed more roughness with differenee statistieally in relation speeimens without brushing for the three dentifriees; the dentifriees showed differents abrasion when assoeiated to meehaniebrushing to the teeth; and, the dentifriees Colgate branqueador and Sorriso were signifieantly more abrasive than Sensodyne (p<0.05)
