AvaliaÃÃo farmacolÃgica das atividades antiinflamatÃria, analgÃsica e anti-ulcerogÃnica do fitoterÃpico Sanativo

RESUMO

The Sanativo (SAN) is a herbal drug formed by the association of hydroalcoholic extracts of angico - Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan (20%), aroeira - Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi (20%), camapu - Physalis angulata Linnà (1,7%) and mandacaru - Cereus peruvianus Miller (1,7%). Particularly in the Northeast region of Brazil its constituents are employed in popular medicine to treat wounds, burns, infectious and inflammatory processes, gastritis and ulcers gastroduodenal and bleeding. In previous study has demonstrated its effectiveness as healing in the open wounds and safety of use in rodents. The objective of this study was validate the actions antiinflammatory, analgesic and antiulcerogenic of herbal product SanativoÂ. Thus, the effects of the SAN were investigated in models of acute inflammation (carrageenin, dextran and histamine-induced paw oedema), pain (acetic acid-induced writhing and hot plate) and ulcer induced by ethanol. The results show carrageenin-induced oedema an inhibition in the maximum in groups SAN (200 and 400 mg/kg) and indomethacin (10mg/kg) of 37, 43 and 63% respectively. The dextrana-induced oedema, at 30 and 60 minutes was statistics reduced between 23 and 54% for all doses of SAN and the dose (200mg/kg) produced decrease between 41 and 52%. While, histamine-induced oedema, the lowest dose (50 mg/kg) produced inhibition between 47 and 66%. The stimulus nociceptive (abdominal contortions) by acetic acid was reduced to 42, 32, 53%, in the groups treated with SAN (50, 100 and 200mg/kg), respectively. The latency time to the thermal stimulus was increased in the group SAN (200mg/kg) in 46, 48, 49 and 65% in the control group. The area of gastric damage induced by ethanol was inhibited in 68, 88, 93% in the groups treated with SAN (50, 100 and 200mg/kg), respectively.
