RESUMO

The bonded patch repair technique, which is the application of a layer attached on a cracked region of a structure, has been used in many aeronautical applications to reduce crack propagation and increase cracked structures life.In this work, the boundary element method is used to analyse patch repairs in a two dimensional approach. This soft of problem requires the use of techniques which allow the domain forces consideration, once forces of interaction between the plate and the patch repair must be considered as domain forces. The dual reciprocity boundary element method and the displacement compatibility methodare used to model these forces between plate and patch repair.Numerical results obtained considering compatibility between plate and patch repair are compared with analytical solutions in order to check the efficience of this method in the analysis of patch repairs
