RESUMO

This work if considers to analyze the efficiency of the producers, involved in the project of genetic and productive improvement of the flock of goat ovinos and in the city of TauÃ, referring to the two first years of implantation - July of 2002 the June of 2004. Specifically the establishments currently in functioning had been characterized; it was esteem the efficiency technique, the efficiency of scale and had been classified the producers according to these measures; the producers that present best the practical ones of production and compare the efficient and inefficient producers, according to some economic pointers had been identified technician and. For all the analysis, had been used given primary gotten through direct research with application of questionnaire in the 20 involved units in the project. It enters the main gotten conclusions in the study, was verified that all the inefficiency technique is devoted the problems in the production scale. Also one evidenced that the experience of the producer is changeable excellent for the improvement of the efficiency production technique.
