A poética do construir: a arquitetura da construção

RESUMO

Taking as starting point the extreme dismemberment of the architectural making, we made the proposal of approaching the project to its constructive process, not for the requirement of the architects presence on the jobsite but as a return to the materiality of the architecture and the poetic of the construction. With this intention we present the concepts of form and its relation with the so-called operators of the architectural equation (place, use and technique), condensed in the concept of formal material, used only as a starting point in the choice of the buildings and its projects procedures. In the selected examples we analyse the ways of interaction between the disciplines involved as well as the connections of the technologies with the effective economic questions current at the time. Furthermore we analyse the formal solution resulting and the relationship between the project and its implementation. We conclude that there must be an interaction between the disciplines involved in the project since its conception. A team which is opened to reciprocal contaminations is the base for a good development of the project and evidences points that the option for constructive materials and systems must always be contextualized and the problems involved must be analysed. Regarding the architectural form, the fact of being previous to the process does not seem to bring advantage. However the form must be the result of a complex architectural operation in which the choice of materials and the constructive system must be among its many other variables.
