RESUMO
This study aims to analyse the people with disability in fictional movies from the brazilian contemporary cinema, since the 1980s decade, in three representative movies. The movies must have been in movie theaters nationwide and the question of the person with disability has to be shown as the main subject. The main question to be focused and studied is how the contemporary brazilian cinema, after the 1980s decade, sees and depicts the people with disabilities. The objects of this study are the films: Feliz ano velho (1987), from director Roberto Gervitz; O cego que gritava luz (1996), from director João Batista de Andrade; and Crime delicado (2005), from director Beto Brant. For that, we use theoretical references in cinema, social representations, disability and body.
