RESUMO

Human behavior is characterized by certain necessities that in a modern society workers procure day after day to satisfy through organizations they work for, since they are becoming dependent on these organizations as quantitatively as qualitatively, each time in a bigger progression. These workers expect to satisfy their necessities within certain leveis of expectation, such as receiving certain fringes from the same organizations, in exchange for the work done. The necessities wich can characterize the workers of a particular organization were categorized in this research work as phisiological, security, association, apreciation and self-assurance. The fringes identified and used for this research paper, wich can confront the satisfaction of these necessities and wich can be made responsible for the dissatisfaction of the workers in their own environment, when they are not payment, physical environment, environmental-interelationships, job status, and the work itself. Through a bibliographic research, was observed that the fringes throughout their historical-interelations within the organization they were, in general, very low in relation to their needs, and, at times, even getting to criticai points. The social context where his research was deve~d was no exception to this tendency, as far as the data collected through field-work. The collected data applted to the enterviewed gave the impression that their salary takes one of the bi.q responsabilities for the dissatisfaction at their workinq place, followed by the of safety, self-assurance and. the bad relation schip among the high and low-rank officers. The collected data, applied to the executives, in relation to the workers attitudes, in their environment, taken as example of manifestation within this same environment, indicate that, according to same exccutive s point of view, the difficulty to recruit, the turnover, the indolence and absence present as the focar major problems encountered by their respective companies.
