RESUMO

This study had as objective to detect the image that the diverse public (tourist, agents and the press) has of Camboriú Health-resort as tourist destination. Moreover, it looked for to raise intrinsic problems the tourist activity and attributes valued for the tourists and agents who visit e, or vendem the destination. Three universes of research had been defined: tourists who had been in Camboriú Health-resort in January of 2003; the main agencias of the state of São Paulo, capital and interior, and clipping of the journalistic substances that had been propagated in main periodicals, magazines and sites in Brazil and are of it, except Santa Catarina. The reached results allow a reflection on some aspects that they need to be reviewed in Camboriú Health-resort, mainly in relation the forms of performance of the mix of marketing and communication with its public, to keep the reached positive image to the long one of the years.
