A Física e os livros: uma análise do saber físico nos livros didáticos adotados para o ensino médio

RESUMO

The present dissertation had its origin in lhe study conceming lhe transformations and relationships between lhe scientific knowledge and its corresponding school version. More specifically, lhe aim of this research has been lhe leaming of lhe relationships that lead to be more or less elose each other, lhe physics, as expressed in lhe didactic literature for medium leveI schools (highschool), and lhe physical knowledge, this later seen as a culturallegacy trom lhe mankind. Initially, books issued or reissued over lhe last two decades were chosen as lhe field of analysis. However, this field was extended along lhe investigations, and lhe didactical works addressed to medium leveI schools published since lhe beginning of this century were ineluded. The used methodology has permitted to visualise different aspects of lhe problem, giving to lhe research a triple dynamics: lhe movement on lhe didactical-pedagogic field; lhe territory of physics and its neighbourhood; lhe empirical basis of didactic books. This study showed, as result: lhe existence of four phases in lhe evolution of didactic works on physics along this century; lhe possibility of classifying lhe works, trom lhe 80 s ahead, in falir groups; tendency, on more recent works on physics, of presenting other aspects beyond lhe elassical theoretical-conceptual contents, such as lhe historic, philosophic and social aspects associated to lhe science. The research doesn t confirm totally lhe "didactic transposition", as conceived by Yves Chevallard, except when a more general or open interpretation is taken into consideration, supporting some criticism raised against this theory. The physics in lhe books is not an exelusively school production but it has elear links with lhe science. In despite of its strong reductionism, it is not a matter of vulgar knowledge. Considering lhe links with lhe science, lhe physics in lhe books can be understood as a compositu : a complex composition of elements originated trom lhe conceptual theoretic on physics and trom lhe cultural contexto
