A avaliação institucional em universidades de Mato Grosso do Sul: as experiências da Universidade Católica Dom Bosco e da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (1996 2002)

RESUMO

The aim of this research was analyze the national politics of university education in its interaction with the Universities demands. The research analysis benefited the insitutional evaluation, while self-evaluation. This emphasys elapses by understanding that this type of evaluation potentializes the exercise of the insitutions evaluative autonomy. The research was developted to universities: Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (UCDB) and Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), both situated in Campo Grande city, from 1996 to 2002. Considering that in this period the government and the institutions worked in the way of create process, mecanisms and evaluation tools, based in standards of eficiency and eficacy of the institutional functions (education, research, extension and management), looked for analyze the purposes of institutional evaluation developed by reserached institutions, related to the politics of evaluation developed by Ministério da Educação (MEC). The results found out indicate that in the researched universities the institutional evaluation was performed in the limit of the orientations defined by MEC, having started and finished with the oficial implemented programs of the Federal Government.
