1. Bergenin of Peltophorum dubium (Fabaceae) Roots and Its Bioactive Semi-Synthetic Derivatives
This work describes the isolation of pure bergenin from Peltophorum dubium roots with good yields and its further derivatization through Williamson synthesis. The alkyl derivatives of the bergenin were identified by nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry data analysis. Among them, three derivatives were reported for the first time herein, 8,10-dihe

2. Characterization and application of Lippia alba (Mill) and Cymbopogon citratus D.C. Stapf. essential oils as natural sanitizers in coriander
Abstract Essential oils (EOs) are a promising alternative for food preservation and can be used instead of synthetic antimicrobial compounds such as sanitizers, as long as they are efficient and safe. In view of this possibility of use, Lippia alba (Mill) (LAEO) and Cymbopogon citratus D.C. Stapf. (CCEO) essential oils were evaluated as natural antimicrobial

3. Sida tuberculata (Malvaceae): a study based on development of extractive system and in silico and in vitro properties
Sida tuberculata (Malvaceae) is a medicinal plant traditionally used in Brazil as an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent. Here, we aimed to investigate the different extractive techniques on phytochemical parameters, as well as to evaluate the toxicity and antioxidant capacity of S. tuberculata extracts using in silico and in vitro models. Therefore, i

4. Isolation, characterization and evaluation of antimicrobial and cytotoxic activity of estragole, obtained from the essential oil of croton zehntneri (euphorbiaceae)
A análise do OE permit

5. Synthesis of 1H-benzoxazine-2,4-diones from heterocyclic anhydrides: evaluation of antioxidant and antimicrobial activities
A facile one-step synthesis of 1H-benzoxazine-2,4-diones from heterocyclic anhydrides and TMSA was described. This paper determines their antimicrobial activity against nine human bacterial pathogens by the broth microdilution method; antioxidant activity by DPPH• inactivation and a ferric-reducing power assay; and toxicity by a brine shrimp, Artemia salin
