1. Endophytic fungi occurring in Ipomoea carnea tissues and their antimicrobial potentials
The aim of this work was to study the endophytic fungi associated with the tissues of Ipomoea carnea, a common invasive plant of India. A total of 69 isolates belonging to ten taxa comprising 1.45% Zygomycetes, 10.14% Coelomycetes, 62.32% Hypomycetes, 18.84% sterile mycelia and 7.25% unidentified species were obtained. Species of Curvularia, Aspergillus, Fus

2. Efeito crioprotetor de lactose e glicose em cÃlulas fÃngicas imobilizadas em alginato de sÃdio como mÃtodo de preservaÃÃo de culturas. / Cryoprotectant effect of lactose and glucose yeast cells immobilized in calcium alginate as a method for preservation of cultures
Cryopreservation is the method of choice in many banks of microorganisms because it leads to a situation of metabolic dormancy and consequently cultures are stable for long periods. By reducing the temperature may however be formed of ice crystals which tend to cause cell damage to cell damage in turn can be avoided by vitrification process which takes place

3. Biotechnological Production of chitosan by Syncephalastrum racemosum (WFCC / UCP 0148) (Cohn ex Schröt) using industrial wastes and application in environmental processes.

4. Zygomycetes from herbivore dung in the ecological reserve of Dois Irmãos, Northeast Brazil
Thirty-eight taxa of Zygomycetes distributed in 15 genera were recorded from tapir (Tapirus terrestris), camel (Camelus bactrianus), horse (Equus caballus), deer (Cervus elaphus), agouti (Dasyprocta aguti), donkey (Equus asinus), llama (Llama glama) and waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) dung collected at the Reserva Ecológica de Dois Irmãos located in Recif

5. Fungal microbiota isolated from healthy pig skin / Microbiota fúngica isolada da pele de suínos sadios
Background: Researches have been developed to observe the normal microbiota of different animal species. This subject is of major importance for the control of potential infection risks. Fungi can be found in various substrates, foodstuffs (cereals, meat, milk, vegetables) and also in the skin, mucosae, respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts of animals. Wit

6. Meningoencephalitis caused by a zygomycete fungus (Basidiobolus) associated with septic shock in an immunocompetent patient: 1-year follow-up after treatment
Zygomycosis is an infection caused by opportunistic fungi of the Zygomycetes class, specifically those from the Mucorales and Entomophthorales orders. It is an uncommon disease, mainly restricted to immunocompromised patients. We report a case of a 73-year-old male patient with a history of fever (39°C) lasting for 1 day, accompanied by shivering, trembling

7. Distribution of filamentous fungi causing invasive fungal disease at the haematological unit, Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, Brazil
Very limited data are available in the literature to elucidate the aetiology of invasive mould infections in Latin America. Here we report that Aspergillus species caused only half of such cases in a cohort study conducted over 21 months in a university hospital in Porto Alegre, Southern Brazil. Fusarium spp. were the second most prevalent moulds (20.7%), fo

8. Aspectos biológicos de Neozygites floridana (Weiser &Muma) (Zygomycetes : Entomophthorales) e dinâmica populacional deTetranychus evansi Baker &Prictchard (Acari : Tetranychidae) e seus inimigos naturais em Solanum americanum Mill / Biological aspects of Neozygites floridana (Weiser &Muma) (Zygomycetes: Entomophorales) and population dynamics of Tetranychus evansi Baker &Pritchard (Acari: Tetranychidae) and their natural enemies in Solanum americanum Mill.
Neozygites floridana (Weiser &Muma) (Zygomycetes: Entomophthorales) infects several species of Tetranychidae in different locations around the world. In Brazil, N. floridana was reported in Tetranychus evansi Baker &Pritchard and Tetranychus urticae Koch. Disease caused by this pathogen on tetranychids indicates its potential in biological control programs.

Rhizopus oryzae, Circinella muscae, Mucor subtilissimus,Mucor hiemalis f. hiemalis, Syncephalastrum racemosum, Rhizopus microsporus var. chinensis e Absidia cylindrospora exibiram atividade proteásica.

11. Estudo taxonÃmico e molecular de Zygomycetes em excrementos de herbÃvoros no Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil
Herbivore dung has been cited as one of the main substrates for isolation of Zygomycetes. However, there are few studies about species composition in these substrates and genetic variability between Zygomycetes from different geographic regions. The aims of this work were: a) To identify and isolate Zygomycetes from herbivore dung from Recife, Pernambuco, Br

The growth profile, phosphate and glucose uptake, phosphorus content, and polyphosphate distribution, structure and location were evaluated in cunninghamella elegans grown in media containing different phosphate concetrations. The results showed a signinificant influence of the concentration of phosphate on biomass production and polyphosphate metabolism. Th
