1. Free Vibration of flexible soft-core sandwiches according to layerwise theories differently accounting for the transverse normal deformability
Abstract This study aims to generalize a previously developed accurate and inexpensive 3-D zig-zag theory up to an arbitrary representation form and to determine which simplifications are yet accurate in determining transverse shear and normal stress/deformation effects on vibrations of soft-core sandwiches with not moving middle/neutral plane (pumping). 2. Enrichment of Copper, Lead, and Tin by Mechanical Dry Processing of Obsolete Printed Circuit Board Residues
Waste printed circuit boards (WPCB) residues were mechanically processed to concentrate their metal content aiming to reduce costs of the subsequent recovery of copper, tin, and lead. A fully dry route was proposed to avoid the generation of liquid effluents that would require additional treatment. Firstly, 10.7% of the residue was segregated by magnetic sep

3. Productivity and Superficial Quality of an Aspherical Die Using CAD/CAM
ABSTRACT Nowadays, it is hard to imagine modern industry without the manufacturing and design software aided by computer, known as CAD/CAM, once the search for excellence in complex geometry parts, reduced time, quality assurance and interchangeability is increasing. Within this quest, the CAD/CAM platform has become a significant factor in manufacturing, es

4. Impact Damage Analysis with Stress Continuity Constraints Fulfilment at Damaged-Undamaged Regions and at Layer Interfaces
Abstract Low-velocity impacts have a relevant importance for safety of laminated and sandwich composite structures, because they are highly susceptible to damage. In this paper, a 3D cost effective zig-zag model is developed in order to efficiently simulate such impacts. It a priori fulfills the continuity of out-of-plane stresses at layer interfaces, the co

5. Finite Element Modelling for Static and Free Vibration Response of Functionally Graded Beam
Abstract A 1D Finite Element model for static response and free vibration analysis of functionally graded material (FGM) beam is presented in this work. The FE model is based on efficient zig-zag theory (ZIGT) with two noded beam element having four degrees of freedom at each node. Linear interpolation is used for the axial displacement and cubic hermite int

Triana (Melastomataceae) do cerrado, Brasil

11. Study of the First Principles of Nanotubes Carbon of Double Layer / Estudo de Primeiros Princípios de Nanotubos de Carbono de Camada Dupla

12. A development of a finite element method based on a novel theory of laminated composite beam.
In the analysis of composite beams (laminate or sandwiches), sometimes it is very important to estimate the effect of the transverse shear (direction z). Many works about this theme were already developed (beam and plate theories, Zig-Zag theories, full three-dimensional approaches), each one with its own advantages and disadvantages (intrinsic inaccuracy, l
