25. Photodegradation study of TiO2 and ZnO in suspension using miniaturized tests
ABSTRACT Miniaturization has been a trend in the instrumentation of chemical analyzes. The interest in miniaturization stems from the perceived benefits of faster, easier, less expensive and less wasteful analyzes than the tradition analyses. Thus, this work proposes a miniaturization of photocatalytic tests using a microplate reader for the analysis of seve

26. THE USE OF TITANIUM MESH FOR DEFECT CLOSURE AFTER POSTERIOR SPINAL DECOMPRESSION

27. Intramedullary Flexible Nailing for Diaphyseal Fractures of Forearm Bones in Children
O presente estudo avalia o resultado clinico

28. Morphological and Structural Variations in Anodic Films grown on Polished and Electropolished Titanium Substrates
The objective of this work was to investigate the effects of anodization parameters on the anatase phase formation of titanium oxide films, which have been grown on both electropolished and non-electropolished titanium surfaces by direct current anodization in 0.25 and 2.5 mol L-1 H3PO4 solutions, respectively, at three anodization times (3, 6 and 12 hours).

29. Kaolinite/TiO2/cobalt(II) Tetracarboxymetallophthalocyanine Nanocomposites as Heterogeneous Photocatalysts for Decomposition of Organic Pollutants Trimethoprim, Caffeine and Prometryn
São Simão’s Brazilian kaolinite has been treated with titanium(IV) isopropoxide and cobalt(II) tetracarboxymetallophthalocyanine under different conditions (acidic or basic), leading, after drying at 100 ºC, to new titania-doped cobalt(II)-metallophthalocyanine/kaolinite solids. These solids were characterized by chemical analysis, powder X-ray diffract

30. Degradation of Acid Red 8 Dye Using Photo-Fenton Reaction Mediated by Titanium Modified Catalysts
Catalysts prepared by co-precipitation of iron and titanium were evaluated in heterogeneous photo-Fenton degradation of the azo dye Acid Red 8 under blacklight irradiation. Materials with different titanium contents (0 < Ti/Fe < 0.6) were characterized using X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, specific surface

31. Facile One-Step Electrodeposition Fabrication of Amorphous MoS2 Catalysts in Titanium for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
Hydrogen is seen as a future energy carrier that will assist the global energy fuel demand. However, it is still necessary to study efficient and inexpensive catalysts that can be used on a large scale to make this technology practical. In this paper the electrodeposition of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) film on titanium (Ti) substrate was performed by cyclic

32. Additive manufacturing of titanium alloy could modify the pathogenic microbial profile: an in vitro study
Abstract Additive manufacturing (AM) is an emerging process for biomaterials and medical devices. Direct Laser Metal Sintering (DLMS) is an AM technique used to fabricate Ti–6Al–4V implant materials with enhanced surface-related properties compared with wrought samples; thus, this technique could influence microbial adsorption and colonization. Therefore

33. Lower Susceptibility of Laser-irradiated Ti-15Mo Surface to Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus Cells Adhesion
Extensive data reported the influence of the physicochemical properties on the bacterial adhesion in biomaterials, of which surface roughness of titanium (Ti) can dictates methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) adhesion to orthopedic implants. Herein, we investigated the influence of the Yb:YAG laser texturing of titanium-15molybdenum (TiMo-L) su

35. Desgaste y corrosión de recubrimientos de PLGA sobre titanio en contacto con hueso y fluido sinovial
ABSTRACT In this work, the synergism between wear and corrosion was evaluated in titanium specimens covered by PLGA. The tests were carried out in a tribocorrosion machine, taking into account two variables: scratch ve-locity and applied load. A bipotentiostat was adapted to obtain the potentiostatic curves and Tafel in resting, moving and wear-corrosion con

36. Evaluation of two-step transformation in Ni-rich titanium-nickel alloys using thermal and internal friction analyses
ABSTRACT The use of Ti-Ni memory alloys covers several fields of application such as medicine, dentistry, actuators, sensors among others. Because of the thermomechanical behavior of these materials, they are an object of continuous studies and their properties are related to the occurrence of thermoelastic martensitic phase transformations. The thermal anal
