3. Magnetized string cosmological model in cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous universe with time dependent cosmological-term lambda
Cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous magnetized string cosmological model is investigated with cosmological term lambda varying with time. To get the deterministic solution, it has been assumed that the expansion (theta) in the model is proportional to the eigen value sigma1 1 of the shear tensor sigmai j. The value of cosmological constant for the model is

4. Reducible gauge theories in local superfield Lagrangian BRST quantization
The construction of theta-local superfield Lagrangian BRST quantization in non-Abelian hypergauges for generic gauge theories based on the action principle is examined in the case of reducible local superfield models (LSM) on the basis of embedding a gauge theory into a special theta-local superfield model with antisymplectic constraints and a Grassmann-odd

5. Predictive QSPR analysis of corrosion inhibitors for super 13% Cr steel in hydrochloric acid
An experimental and theoretical study on the inhibition corrosion efficiencies of twenty three compounds in hydrochloric acid (15% w/v) on 13% Cr modified stainless steel (martensitic) has been carried out. This inhibitor set includes amines, thiourea derivatives and acetylenic alcohols. Experimental weight losses at 60ºC were correlated with group and quan

6. Exotic Hadrons in a QCD Sum Rules calculation / "Partículas exóticas em regras de soma da QCD"
In this work the QCD Sum Rules have been used to obtain masses and coupling or decay constants of the theta+(1540) and cascade--(1862) pentaquarks, the DsJ+(2317), D0(2308) and D0(2405) charmed scalar mesons and the X(3872) axial meson. The mesons have been treated as 4-quark exotic states (tetraquarks). Two sum rules methods have been used with special atte

7. Mating system of a population of Myracrodruon urundeuva F.F. & M.F. Allemão using the fAFLP molecular marker
The mating system and genetic diversity were studied in a natural population of Myracrodruon urundeuva originating from 30 open-pollinated trees at the Paulo de Faria Ecological Station, SP, Brazil. The progenies were planted on the Teaching and Research Farm of the Ilha Solteira Engineering School, UNESP. Using the fAFLP molecular marker, eleven loci were s

8. Um novo método para estudos dinâmicos, in situ, da infiltração da água na região não-saturada do solo. / A new method for dynamic studies, in situ, of water infiltration in the unsaturated zone of soil.
Agriculture is the human activity that most affects the environment. Huge amounts of chemicals are applied on the soil. Pesticides percolation and runoff degrades water resources. Thus, soil hydraulic properties must be known due to their influence on solute transport. The measurement of these properties and the modelling of related parameters are often diff

9. Velocity of front propagation in 1-dimensional autocatalytic reactions
We study a discrete model of the irreversible autocatalytic reaction A + B -> 2A in one dimension. Looking at the dynamics of propagation, we find that in the low-concentration limit the average velocity of propagation approaches v = theta/2, where theta is the concentration, and, in the high concentration limit, we nd the velocity approaches v = 1 - e-theta

10. Dynamic synaptic modification threshold: computational model of experience-dependent plasticity in adult rat barrel cortex.
Previous electrophysiological experiments have documented the response of neurons in the adult rat somatic sensory ("barrel") cortex to whisker movement after normal experience and after periods of experience with all but two whiskers trimmed close to the face (whisker "pairing"). To better understand how the barrel cortex adapts to changes in the flow of se

11. Responses of macaque ganglion cells to the relative phase of heterochromatically modulated lights.
1. We measured the response of macaque ganglion cells to sinusoidally modulated red and green lights as the relative phase, theta, of the lights was varied. 2. At low frequencies, red-green ganglion cells of the parvocellular (PC-) pathway with opponent inputs from middle-wavelength sensitive (M-) and long-wavelength sensitive (L-) cones were minimally sensi

12. No evidence of linkage between the transforming growth factor-alpha gene in families with apparently autosomal dominant inheritance of cleft lip and palate.
Eight families have been identified with cleft lip, with or without cleft palate (CL/P), inherited in an apparently autosomal dominant manner. Transforming growth factor-alpha (TGFA) has been tested as a candidate gene for clefting in these families. Negative lod scores were generated in an autosomal dominant model with 80% penetrance (Z = -3.152 at theta =
