13. Otimização de pavimentos de edifícios com estruturas de concreto pré-moldado utilizando algoritmos genéticos / Floor optimization in precast concrete building using GA
The precast concrete structures are more modular and standardized than the cast in place concrete structures, therefore optimization techniques can improve economics gain because of series production. Among the optimization techniques in structural engineering design, genetic algorithms have been recognized as a trend. This work aims the floor precast concre

14. Cráton do São Franscisco, kimberlitos e diamantes
The São Francisco Craton is a large stable area in the eastern portion of South America. Its basement comprises Archean terrains that were reworked and amalgamated during Paleoproterozoic tectonic events and later on affected marginally by the Neoproterozoic Brasiliano orogeny, during the amalgamation of West Gondwana. In this work the geological evolution

As rochas metassedimentares do Grupo Ceará ocupam a maior part

It is normal in engineer practice to use core testing to determine the inplace compressive strength of concrete in a structure. Generally, cores are obtained to: Asses whether suspect concrete in a new structure complies with strength-based acceptance criteria; or determine in-place concrete strengths in an existing structure for the evaluation of structural

17. Avaliação ecoDopplercardiográfica da função diastólica do ventrículo esquerdo em indivíduos obesos pré e pós cirurgia bariátrica / EchoDopplercardiographic analysis of left ventricular diastolic function in severe and morbid obesity before and after bariatric surgery
Obesity has been associated with heart failure, and individuals with severe obesity have been recognized to have a form of cardiomiopathy attributed to chronic volume overload, characterized by left ventricular dilation, and eccentric left ventricular hypertrophy. Impairment of cardiac function has been reported, with most studies reporting abnormal diastoli

18. Relação solo-água-vegetação em uma toposseqüência localizada na Estação Ecológica de Assis, SP / Soil-water-vegetation relationships in a toposequence located in the Ecological Station of Assis, São Paulo, Brazil
The Cerrado bioma is being fragmented due to the human and agricultural occupation. To maintain the biodiversity, ecological corridors must be created by the revegetation and the restoration of the degraded areas. It can only be ameliorated upon the knowledge of the soils natural dynamics and distribution. The aim of this work was to characterize the b

19. The development of teaching abilities through the experience of teachers in a nursing graduating course.
This study broaches the development of abilities for the teaching following lecturers experiences with a nursing graduating study. It seeks to know when and how lecturers of nursing graduating colleges develop their teaching abilities; to identify the knowledge and the skills developed by the lecturers in the process of building abilities for Nursing teach

20. Evolução tectono-estrutural do Campo de Xaréu (Sub-bacia de Mundaú, Bacia do Ceará - NE do Brasil: abordagem multiescala e pluriferramental
The Xaréu Oil Field, located in the center-southern portion of the Mundaú Sub-Basin (eastern portion of the Ceará Basin), is characterized by a main Iramework of NW-trending and NE-dipping faults. The faults in the Xaréu Oil Field, among which the Xaréu Fautt stands out, are arranged according to an extensional-listriclan, rooted on a detachment surface

Four continuum methods for torsional analysis of structural cores that consist of one or two channel sections, connected by lintel beams, are described. . First, Vlasov s theory for thin walled beams of open sections is used. In the second method, the shear defonnationis included. The third methoduses a closed box torsion-bending theory, andthe last one adaptsU

The genesis and properties of a depositionaI system can be understood by the use of facies modeIs, which permit the prediction of its spatial distribution and reservoir qualities. The qualitative approach associated to nurnerical data allows the quantification of flow units. The method presented herein is intended to translate geological data into nurnerical

23. Biochemical and Structural Analysis of Isolated Mature Cores of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1
Mature human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) particles contain a cone-shaped core structure consisting of the internal ribonucleoprotein complex encased in a proteinaceous shell derived from the viral capsid protein. Because of their very low stability after membrane removal, HIV-1 cores have not been purified in quantities sufficient for structural an

24. Polyamines in vaccinia virions and polypeptides released from viral cores by acid extraction.
Vaccinia virions propagated in the presence of [3H]ornithine were found to contain two labeled polyamines, spermine and spermidine. In complete virions the ratio of radioactively labeled spermine to spermidine was about 1:10, whereas in viral cores the ratio was 2:5. This suggests that some spermidine was preferentially lost during the conversion of virions
