1. Estudo fitoquímico com fins farmacológicos da alga bentônica Caulerpa racemosa
Caulerpa racemosa (Forssk.) J.Agardh is a green seaweed widely distributed in Brazil northeast, living on rocks or in association with other seaweeds. Pharmacoligacal studies related the antimicrobial and repellent activities of the extract. The literature related the presence of alkaloids, terpenoids, steroids and some others class of metabolites. The purpo

2. Perfil FitogrÃfico e FarmacolÃgico da Aspidosperma pyriolium mart. "Ensaios prÃ-clÃnicos"
The use of natural products has been growing remarkably in recent years. The search pharmacology of medicinal plants has not only brought about important advances for the treatment of various diseases, but also has provided extremely useful tools for the theoretical study of physiology and pharmacology. Aspidosperma pyrifolium Mart. occurs in the caatinga an

3. Prevention of left ventricular remodelling induced by nandrolone decanoate / Prevenção do remodelamento ventricular esquerdo induzido pelo decanoato de nandrolona

Cytochromes P450 constitute a superfamily of hemeproteins that play a vital role in the metabolism of a wide variety of compounds such as steroids, fatty acids, drugs and environmental pollutants. Xenobiotic metabolism and role of cytochrome P450 are important areas of molecular pharmacology and toxicology, and of great interest mainly in the studies on prev

5. Attenuated sensitivity to neuroactive steroids in γ-aminobutyrate type A receptor delta subunit knockout mice
γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) type A receptors mediate fast inhibitory synaptic transmission and have been implicated in responses to sedative/hypnotic agents (including neuroactive steroids), anxiety, and learning and memory. Using gene targeting technology, we generated a strain of mice deficient in the δ subunit of the GABA type A receptors. In vivo testin

6. Current status and challenges of cytokine pharmacology
The major concern of pharmacology about cytokines has originated from plentiful data showing association between gross changes in their production and pathophysiological processes. Despite the enigmatic role of cytokines in diseases, a number of them have become a subject of cytokine and anti-cytokine immunotherapies. Production of cytokines can be influence

7. Influence of hydrocortisone succinate on intrarenal accumulation of gentamicin in endotoxemic rats.
Gentamicin is a commonly used antibiotic in the treatment of gram-negative infections including septicemia and pyelonephritis. Bacterial endotoxin is liberated during antibiotic therapy and may lead to endotoxemic shock. Steroids such as hydrocortisone are generally recommended in the treatment of endotoxemic shock. There are very limited data on the influen
