2. Exact travelling wave solutions for some nonlinear (N+1)-dimensional evolution equations
In this paper, we implement the tanh-coth function method to construct the travelling wave solutions for (N + 1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equations. Four models, namely the (N + 1)-dimensional generalized Boussinesq equation, (N + 1)-dimensional sine-cosine-Gordon equation, (N + 1)-double sinh-Gordon equation and (N + 1)-sinh-cosinh-Gordon equation, a

3. Collective coordinate analysis for double sine-Gordon model
Collective coordinate analysis for adding a space dependent potential to the double sine-Gordon model is presented. Interaction of solitons with a delta function potential barrier and also delta function potential well is investigated. Most of the features of interaction are derived analytically. We will find that the behaviour of a solitonic solution is lik

4. Sólitons e teorias não lineares integráveis / Solitons and Nonlinear Integrable Systems

5. Interaction of noncommutative solitons with defects
Interaction of solitons of noncommutative sine-Gordon model with potentials is studied by including a potential through one of the soliton parameters. The bahaviour of non commutative solitons during the interaction are compared with commutative solitons and the differences are explained.

6. Small amplitude oscillations of sine-gordon vortex states in planar magnets in three dimensions
We investigate the spectrum of small amplitude oscillations of the sine-Gordon vortex-antivortex pair in layered ferromagnetic systems described by the anisotropic three-dimensional XY-model. In the case of a small interlayer coupling constant, vortex-pairs can be formed independently in each plane. Analytical expressions for two discrete modes with zero fre

We study the catastrophes that can occur in kink dynamics in the presence of external forces and impurities. Under the action of some anharmonic forces it can occurs that not only the translational mode is unstable but also the internal modes ( shape modes) or even part of the continuum spectrum ( the soliton is unstable against the interaction with phonons!

9. Bäcklund transformations for multidimensional sine-Gordon equations
A class of Bäcklund transformations for multidimensional sine-Gordon equations is shown to relate solutions of only one- and two-dimensional equations. Also, a proposed superposition principle is shown to be useless.

10. Nonlinear wave equations and constrained harmonic motion
The study of the Korteweg-deVries, nonlinear Schrödinger, Sine-Gordon, and Toda lattice equations is simply the study of constrained oscillators. This is likely to be true for any nonlinear wave equation associated with a second-order linear problem.

11. Characterizing harmonic immersions of surfaces with indefinite metric
Harmonic maps X:(S,h) → N from a 2-manifold S with indefinite metric h to a semi-Riemannian manifold N are characterized, assuming that the induced metric I is nondegenerate. Except in one very special case, the characterizations involve a canonically determined holomorphic quadratic differential on a naturally chosen conformal structure. This is surprisin
