1. Similarity as an extension of symmetry and its application to superrationality
Abstract In this paper we present a concept of similarity in games, on which to ground alternative solution concepts, some of which differ from the classical notions in the field. In order to do this we impose a constraint on players’ beliefs that amounts to a variant of the well-known symmetry principle in classical bargaining theory. We show how this sim

2. Interrelation Among Morphology, Mechanical Properties and Oxidation Behavior of NbxAlyNz Thin Films
NbxAlyNz thin films were deposited by magnetron sputtering reactive technique with (y/x+y) ratio varying from 0 to 0.4, in order to maintain aluminum atoms inside NbN matrix in solid solution. GAXRD analyses revealed that the crystalline phase obtained for NbxAlyNz thin films was B1-NbN with a lattice constant shrinkage as Al concentration at these coatings

4. Trophic ecology of citrus pests based on stable isotope analysis
ABSTRACT: Macrodactylus pumilio Burm. (Coleoptera: Scarabeidae) and Naupactus cervinus (Boh.) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) are considered primary pests in citrus crops in Brazil, causing damage to plants and decreasing productivity. However, few studies investigate the ecology of these insects. In this context, the use of stable isotopes analysis (SIA) emerge

5. Caracterización de resinas epoxi para uso en conectores de ductos flexibles
ABSTRACT In the offshore productions of gas and oil are frequently used flexible pipes. The end fitting is the connection between the flexible pipe body and the production unit, at the assembly of this component is used epoxy resin to fill the free space inside it. This polymeric material holds the tensile armor wires to form the anchoring system. A critical

6. DBD Plasma: Explicit Model with Integral Approximate Solution to Wall Jet
ABSTRACT: This study aims to first introduce a formulation which is quite simple for obtaining dielectric-barrier discharge plasma spatial body force. This new model comprises a combination of an empirical model and a numerical one. Although there are still some limitations in the new model (restriction to specific geometry, maximum voltage amplitude of 30 k

7. Enhancing quality in Diffusion Tensor Imaging with anisotropic anomalous diffusion filter
Abstract Introduction: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is an important medical imaging modality that has been useful to the study of microstructural changes in neurological diseases. However, the image noise level is a major practical limitation, in which one simple solution could be the average signal from a sequential acquisition. Nevertheless, this approac

8. Performance and Wake Analysis of Rotors in Axial Flight Using Computational Fluid Dynamics
ABSTRACT: Flow field around rotors in axial flight is known to be complex especially in steep descent where the rotor is operating inside its own wake. It is often reported that, in this flight condition, the rotor is susceptible to severe wake interactions causing unsteady blade load, severe vibration, loss of performance, as well as poor control and handli

9. The recent similarity hypotheses to describe water infiltration into homogeneous soils
ABSTRACT A similarity hypothesis recently presented to describe horizontal infiltration into homogeneous soils, developed for coarse-textured soils like sieved marine sand, implies that the soil water retention function θ(h) is the mirror image of an extended Boltzmann transform function θ(λ2). A second hypothesis applicable to vertical infiltration sugge

10. REMOVAL OF ESTROGENS BY ACTIVATED SLUDGE UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS USING BATCH EXPERIMENTS
AbstractWastewater treatment by deactivated and activated sludge was investigated to evaluate the removal of estrogens [estrone (E1), 17β-estradiol (E2), 17α-ethinylestradiol (EE2)] via adsorption and degradation. Different treatment conditions were used, including three mixed liquor volatile suspended solid (MLVSS) concentrations, three methanol concentra

11. NOVEL SIMILARITY-SOLUTION WHICH IS APPLICABLE FOR FREE CONVECTION OVER A BODY OF ARBITRARY SHAPE: THERMAL NON-EQUILIBRIUM IN A POROUS MEDIUM
Abstract The study of the natural convection flow and heat transfer from hot surfaces in a porous medium has been of considerable interest in energy-related engineering problems. This paper is concerned with the free convection heat transfer over an arbitrary hot surface in a porous medium. It is assumed that the fluid and solid phases are not in local therm

Dentre esses, o TOPSIS (Techniqu
