13. Métodos geoestatísticos de co-estimativas: aplicação aos dados do Campo Escola de Namorado / Co-estimation geostatistical methods: applications to the Namorado Oil Field data
Data used for studying petroleum reservoirs are obtained through drill core, well logs, seismic records and, as a consequence, they present different sampling scales. Multivariate geostatistics is a manner of integrating these data in order to co-estimate a poorly sampled variable based not only on its own information but also on a densely sampled variable.

15. Incorporação quantitativa de dados de sismica 4D no processo de ajuste de historico / Quantitative incorporation of seismic 4D in history matching process
Good decision making related to oilfield management depends on reliability of production forecast which demands calibrated reservoir simulation models. Due to the complexity of the production history matching process, there are many models with reasonable match but, many times, with different forecasts, mainly due to important heterogeneities that are not ob

16. MODELAGEM 3D DE PRESSÃO DE POROS A PARTIR DE DADOS DE POÇOS / 3D PORE PRESSURE MODELING FROM WELL DATA
Tridimensional (3D) modeling of pore pressure gradient is usually based on seismic data and calibrated with well data. Tridimensional models based exclusively in well data are not common in the oil industry. However, well data are regulary used to derive unidimensional models of the pore pressure gradient. The current work presents 3D models of pore pressure

17. Parâmetros de fonte de microterremotos em Cascavel-CE
In this dissertation it was studied the rupture characteristic of earthquakes of the Town of Cascavel CE, Northeastern Brazil. Located on the border of the Potiguar Basin, the Town of Cascavel is one of the most seismically active intraplate areas in the country. In this town, on November 20th, 1980 a 5,2mb earthquake occurred. This was the largest earthquak

This dissertation work presents a comparative study of parameters that control the effectiveness of the main base isolation systems used in the building protection under a seismic excitation. Also, it is availed the efficient of parameter as: friction coefficient, isolator period, damping coefficient, structural stiffness, and structural period by means of c

19. Metodologia para ajuste de historico de produção em campos de petroleo utilizando dados de saturação de perfis / Methodology for production history matching of petroleum fields utilizing logging saturation data
In the production history matching process, the reservoir simulation model is modified in a way that it becomes consistent with production data, keeping the observed restrictions of the geological characterization phase. This technique is limited, mainly in mature fields, when the production history is not reliable, or in the beginning of production, when th

This thesis deals with the tectonic-stratigraphic evolution of the Transitional Sequence in the Sergipe Sub-basin (the southern segment of the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, Northeast Brazil), deposited in the time interval of the upper Alagoas/Aptian stage. Sequence boundaries and higher order internal sequences were identified, as well as the structures that affec

21. History matching using statistical design, production data and saturation map / Ajuste de historico utilizando planejamento estatistico e combinação de dados de produção, pressão e mapas de saturação
The main objective of history matching is to improve numerical models of oil fields by incorporating observed data, production and pressure, into the characterization process, in order to obtain more reliable production forecasting. This technique presents some limitations mainly in the beginning of the development of oil fields, when less information is ava

22. Should standard building structures in Brazil be guaranteed by a seismic resistant design?
Brazilian territory is situated on an intraplate region with low seismic activity, and so, it is important to answer an old question that remains unanswered: "Should standard building structures in Brazil be guaranteed by a seismic resistant design?" In this way , a methodology is described and used to evaluate the annual failure probability of a structure m

The Common Reflection Surface (CRS) method, introduced by Peter Hubral in 1997, is an alternative technique to the conventional CMP stacking. The CRS stack is able to provide not only improved simulated zero-offset sections, but also a set of parameters that convey more information of the propagating medium than the single NMO-velocity parameter of the class

Due to its high resolution, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) has been used to image subsurface sedimentary deposits. Because GPR and Seismic methods share some principles of image construction, the classic seismostratigraphic interpretation method has been also applied as an attempt to interpret GPR data. Nonetheless some advances in few particular contexts, t
