14. Efeito local e sistêmico do laser de baixa potência (830nm) no limiar de dor por pressão em indivíduos saudáveis: estudo prospectivo, controlado, randomizado / Local and systemic effect of low power laser (830nm) in the pressure pain threshold in healthy subjects: a prospective, controlled, randomized
Materiais e Métodos: 150 i

15. Participation of cannabinoid receptors in peripheral nociception induced by some NSAIDs
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have been used extensively to control inflammatory pain. Several peripheral antinociceptive mechanisms have been described, such as opioid system and NO/cGMP/KATP pathway activation. There is evidence that the cannabinoid system can also contribute to the in vivo pharmacological effects of ibuprofen and indometha

16. Pain pressure threshold algometry of the abdominal wall in healthy women
The objective of this study was to determine the inter- and intra-examiner reliability of pain pressure threshold algometry at various points of the abdominal wall of healthy women. Twenty-one healthy women in menacme with a mean age of 28 ± 5.4 years (range: 19-39 years) were included. All volunteers had regular menstrual cycles (27-33 days) and were right

17. Evaluation of dry needling and 0.5% lidocaine injection therapies in myofascial pain trigger points in masticatory muscles
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of trigger points injections using lidocaine 0.5% and dry needling without any kind of home-based rehabilitation program. METHODS: Sixteen patients with myofascial pain and trigger points in masticatory muscles were randomly assigned to two groups and received only one application session.

18. Determinação do Limiar de Dor à Pressão (LDP) da Articulação Temporomandibular (ATM) ideal para determinação diagnóstica de artralgia: um estudo baseado em algometria e ressonância magnética / Determination of the proper Pressure Pain Threshold (PPT) for the diagnosis of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) arthralgia: a magnetic ressonance and algometer - based study

19. Avaliação da eficácia em curto prazo do uso de placas estabilizadoras oclusais de cobertura total e dispositivos NTI (nociceptive trigeminal inhibitory splint) no tratamento da dor miofascial da musculatura mastigatória / Short-term evaluation of efficacy of the use of stabilization occlusal splint and NTI (nociceptive trigeminal inhibitory splint) in the treatment of the myofascial pain from masticatory muscles
The aim of this research was to test the hypothesis that the treatment with intraoral appliances with different occlusal designs is beneficial in the management of symptoms and signs of masticatory Myofascial Pain (MMP) when compared to a control group. 51 patients were analyzed according to the Research Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (R

22. Investigation of adenosine endogenous increase decurrent of D-Frutose-1,6-difosfato administration, a glycolytic intermediate. / Investigação do aumento endógeno de adenosina decorrente da administração do intermediário glicolítico D-Frutose-1,6-difosfato
D-Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate (F1,6BP), a high-energy glycolytic pathway intermediate, is reported to have a many pharmacologically effect, but its underlying mechanism of action in inflammation is incompletely understood. In this study, the aim was to examine the function of F1,6BP on cytokines and adenosine. Then, the possible F1,6BP anti-inflammatory activi
