1. Early fragmentation of polyester urethane sheet neither causes persistent oxidative stress nor alters the outcome of normal tissue healing in rat skin
Abstract Silicone breast implant is associated with complications inherent to the surgical procedure. Prosthesis coating with polyurethane, however, commonly reduces the incidence of such complications. In this paper, the authors evaluated the inflammatory histomorphometric profile and oxidative damage associated to the implant of polyester urethane sheets.

2. Influence of implantoplasty on stress distribution of exposed implants at different bone insertion levels
Abstract This study evaluated the effect of implantoplasty on different bone insertion levels of exposed implants. A model of the Bone Level Tapered implant (Straumann Institute, Waldenburg, Switzerland) was created through the Rhinoceros software (version 5.0 SR8, McNeel North America, Seattle, WA, USA). The abutment was fixed to the implant through a reten

3. Finite Element Study of Three Different Treatment Designs of a Mandibular Three Implant-Retained Overdenture
Abstract This study compares ball, bar-clip and bar-ball attachment systems for implant-retained mandibular overdentures with three implants. The first implant is placed in the middle of the mandible and the other two are imbedded in the first premolar regions. Linear elastic finite element analysis is used for design analysis. Three dimensional geometry of

4. Prosthetic abutment influences bone biomechanical behavior of immediately loaded implants
Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the influence of the type of prosthetic abutment associated to different implant connection on bone biomechanical behavior of immediately and delayed loaded implants. Computed tomography-based finite element models comprising a mandible with a single molar implant were created with different types of prosthetic abutment

5. Effect of cantilever length and alloy framework on the stress distribution in peri-implant area of cantilevered implant-supported fixed partial dentures
ABSTRACT Because many mechanical variables are present in the oral cavity, the proper load transfer between the prosthesis and the bone is important for treatment planning and for the longevity of the implant-supported fixed partial denture. Objectives To verify the stress generated on the peri-implant area of cantilevered implant-supported fixed partial d

6. Stress analysis of different configurations of 3 implants to support a fixed prosthesis in an edentulous jaw
This study's aims was to evaluate the stress distribution in a mandibular implant-supported prosthesis and peri-implant bone considering implant quantity, diameter and position using linear 3-D finite element analysis. Models of an anterior jaw comprised 4 groups according to implant quantity, diameter, and position: control group C, 5 regular implants; R, 3

7. Analysis by the finite element method of the stress distribution in prosthetic components placed in implants with morse cone connection in the anterior maxilla / Análise pelo método dos elementos finitos da distribuição de tensões em componentes protéticos posicionados em implantes com conexão cone morse na região anterior da maxila
The aim of this study was to evaluate through the three-dimensional method of the finite elements the stress distribution in the bone / implant interface and implant / abutment on implants with morse cone connection, placed in the anterior maxilla. From a virtual reconstruction of bone from a CT scan, cantilever prosthesis (11-21) was simulated using prosthe

8. Análise fotoelástica da distribuição das tensões ocorridas no tecido ósseo, ao redor de cinco diferentes desenhos de implante, quando submetidos ao carregamento axial / Photoelastic analysis of stress distributions occurring around the bone tissue of five different designs of implants when subjected to axial loading
The design of the implant is a highly relevant factor in the distribution of stresses generated in the peri-implant tissues. The proposition of this study was to evaluate the stress distribution of five different designs of implants, when subjected to axial loads uniformly distributed. Were prepared five photoelastic jaws, in which the implants used in this

9. Avaliação in vitro da transmissão de carga oclusal em próteses sobre implantes em função da inclinação de implantes através de análise fotoelástica / In vitro evaluation of occlusal load transmission in prosthetic implant according to the inclination of implants by photoelastic analysis
The All-on-Four technique was conceived in order to decrease the length of the cantilever in the rehabilitation of edentulous patients with implant-supported prosthesis. However, still persist questions related to the biomechanical behavior of implants and the proper technique All-on-Four, since issues such as peri-implant bone loss and failure of the prosth
