13. Influence of cold deformation on pitting corrosion resistance of ISO NBR 5832-1 austenitic stainless steel used for orthopedic implants
As propriedades eletrônicas do

14. Growth and electrochemical stability of self-organized TiO2nanotubes on Ti-2 grade and orthopedic Ti6Al4V alloy for biomedical application
Titanium and its alloys are biomaterials used in endosseous implants, due to desirable mechanical properties, high corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. Using electrochemical anodization technique these materials can be recovered with self-organized TiO2 nanotubes layer resulting in increased specific surface area and probable bioactivity improvement.

15. Prediction of hot flow plastic curves of ISO 5832-9 steel used as orthopedic implants
An austenitic stainless steel ISO 5832-9 used as a biomaterial was torsion-deformed over the temperature range of 1000-1200 °C and strain rates of 0.05, 0.1, 1.0 and 5.0 s- 1. The flow stress curves obtained showed two regions where firstly there is a rising on stress characterized as work hardening mechanism acting and secondly a decreasing in work-softeni

16. Efeito da marcação na resistência à corrosão de implantes ortopédicos produzidos em aço inoxidável ABNT NBR ISO 5832-1 / Effect of marking process on the corrosion resistance of orthopedic implants produced on ISO 5832-1 stainless steel

17. Self-reinforced bioresorbable polymer P (L/DL) LA 70:30 for the manufacture of craniofacial implant
The importance of self-reinforced bioabsorbable polymers has been growing due to their use in orthopedic and dental implants. Bioabsorbable polymeric implants manufactured only by the processes of injection or extrusion without the post processing of self-reinforcing leave a great deal on presenting an appealing alternative in terms of the mechanical strengt

18. Assessment of the genetic risks of a metallic alloy used in medical implants
The use of artificial implants provides a palliative or permanent solution for individuals who have lost some bodily function through disease, an accident or natural wear. This functional loss can be compensated for by the use of medical devices produced from special biomaterials. Titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) is a well-established primary metallic biomaterial

19. Caracterização de polivinilálcool e polivinilpirrolidona (PVAI/PVP) para reparo de cartilagem articular mandibular / Characterization of polyvinylalcohol and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVAI/PVP) for repair of articular carlilage mandibular

20. Flexure resistance evaluation of mini implants prototypes developed for Herbst appliance anchorage Study in Minipig br1 / Avaliação da resistência à flexão de mini-implantes desenvolvidos para ancoragem esquelética do aparelho de Herbst - Estudo em Minipig br1
An undesirable tooth movement resulting from use of the Herbst appliance is the excessive proclination of the anterior mandibular teeth, which is commonly associated with gingival recession, marginal bone loss, and root resorption. Skeletal anchorage of the Herbst appliance could prevent these problems. The present study was designed to evaluate, in Minipigs

Given the variety of metallic materials used in orthopedic implants, the austenitic stainless steel type 316L and F138 have been widely used in Brazil as biocompatible material. Used by the public health, mainly due to it is low cost of manufacture compared to other materials, and because of the good combination of properties of which can be highlighted: The

Correlação entre transformações de fases e comportamento mecanico de ligas Ti-Nb-Sn e sua aplicação na concepção de implantes ortopedicos com propriedades otimizadas / Correlation between phase transformations and mechanical behavior of Ti-Nb-Sn alloys and its applications in the design of orthopedic implants with optimized characteristics
β type Ti alloys exhibit versatility in terms of mechanical properties, which can be tailored by using specific heat treatment conditions. In this work, Ti-Nb-Sn alloy samples were prepared, processed and characterized, aiming to produce femoral stems of total hip prostheses. The research included evaluations of phase transformations during heat treatme

24. In vitro studies of osteoblasts response onto zinc aluminate ceramic films
Zinc based or doped ceramics have shown to be capable of increasing osteoblasts proliferation, biomineralization and bone formation. However, studies regarding the biological applications processes in ZnAl2O4 ceramic films are very scarce. For this reason, the objective of this in vitro study was to investigate the response of osteoblasts cells cultured onto
