2. Different Strategies to Anchor Organotin Methoxides on Silica and Their (Re)Use as Heterogeneous Catalysts for Transesterification Reactions
Catalysts were prepared by the heterogenization of the tributyltin(IV) methoxide (n-Bu3Sn(OMe)) and dibutyltin(IV) dimethoxide (n-Bu2Sn(OMe)2) on silica by two strategies: (i) anchoring of the organotin(IV) compounds on silica and (ii) anchoring of the organotin(IV) compounds on a silica gel functionalized with mercaptopropyl groups (SiO2–SH). The characte

3. SÍNTESE E CARACTERIZAÇÃO DE NOVOS ORGANOMETÁLICOS DE ESTANHO (IV) COM LIGANTES DITIOCARBIMATOS E SUA AÇÃO ACCELERADORA NA VULCANIZAÇÃO DE BORRACHA NITRÍLICA
This paper describes the synthesis of four new organotin compounds of general formula: (Ph4P)[Sn(Cy)3(RSO2N=CS2)] [Ph4P = tetraphenylphosphonium cation, Cy = cyclohexyl, R = C6H5 (1), 4-ClC6H4 (2), 4-BrC6H4 (3) and 4-IC6H4 (4)]. They were obtained by the reaction between four different potassium N-R-sulfonyldithiocarbimate salts and tricyclohexyltin chloride

4. SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF NEW SERIES OF ORGANOTIN(IV) ESTERS WITH N,N-DIACETYLGLYCINE
A bioactive N,N-diacetylglycine (NNDAG) and new organotin(IV) complexes (OTCs) (1-7) were synthesized. Spectroscopic techniques were employed to characterize NNDAG and OTCs. FTIR was employed to verify N,N protection of glycine by acetyl groups. The disappearance of υ(OH) at 3000-2600 cm-1 showed de-protonation of free ligand. The Δυ 150<200 cm-1 of OTCs

6. Triorganotin as a compound with potential reproductive toxicity in mammals
Organotin compounds are typical environmental contaminants and suspected endocrine-disrupting substances, which cause irreversible sexual abnormality in female mollusks, called "imposex". However, little is known about the capability of triorganotin compounds, such as tributyltin and triphenyltin, to cause disorders in the sexual development and reproductive

7. Síntese e caracterização de complexos N,N -dietilditiocarbamato de Bi(III), Sn(IV), Ga(III), In(III) e Zn(II) e de seus produtos de decomposição térmica.
The literature reports several interesting properties of dithiocarbamate ligands. Therefore, N,N-dietyldithiocarbamate anion has been employed in this work to produce Bi(III), Ga(III), In(III), Zn(II) and organotin complexes, in order to explore its ability as single source precursors of inorganic sulfides, in pyrolysis experiments. The work was divided into

9. Butyltin speciation in sediments from Todos os Santos Bay (Bahia, Brazil) by GC-PFPD
Butyltin compounds were investigated in surface sediments from 17 stations in Todos os Santos Bay. Analytical conditions for organotin determination in marine sediments were optimized for GC with pulsed flame photometric detection. Detection limits were: 5.4 µg kg-1 for TBT; 0.2 µg kg-1 for DBT; and 2.1 µg kg-1 for MBT, using a 610-nm filter. In general,

Tin-based compounds, specially the organometallic ones, have been used for a number of purpores, from biocides to medicines, useful in the cÃncer treatment. Application of such compounds in patogenic agents has increased gradually, due to their effetiveness and non-toxicity aften degradation. Therefore, it is of interest to search for novel actives against

11. DETERMINATION OF SN IN HUMAN MILK BY GRAPHITE FURNACE ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY / DETERMINAÇÃO DE SN EM LEITE HUMANO POR ESPECTROMETRIA DE ABSORÇÃO ATÔMICA NO FORNO DE GRAFITE
Tin is a metal of natural occurrence which is mainly extracted from the mineral cassiterite, SnO2. Tin may be released to the atmosphere from both natural and anthropogenic sources. In nature, it occurs in both inorganic and organic forms, and the shorter the organic chain associated to the metal, the higher the toxicity of the compound. Organotin compounds

12. ESPECIAÇÃO DE COMPOSTOS BUTÍLICOS ESTANHO EM SEDIMENTOS SUPERFICIAIS DA BAÍA DE TODOS OS SANTOS / ESPECIATION OF ORGANOTIN COMPOUNDS IN SURFACE SEDIMENTS OF TODOS OS SANTOS BAY
The organotin compounds such as tributyltin (TBT) present in anti-fouling paints applied to ships, pleasure boats and vessels are proved to have harmful effects on the reproduction and the growth of several forms of marine life. In response to this environmental threat many countries introduced restriction to their use or even banishment. In Brazil there are
