2. Efeitos de dois programas de exercícios físicos nas capacidades funcionais e estruturas cerebrais de idosas / Effects of two physical exercise programs in motor capacities and brain structures of elderly women
Although the diminishing in the motor abilities is inevitable along the aging process, the tendency of this decrease may be reduced when physical exercise is used as an intervention. These interventions, in general, include the repetition of movements which are cyclical and have low complexity, aiming to increase physiological efficiency of the practitioners

3. Effects of differential weekly frequencies of weight training on body composition and motor capacities in older men / Efeitos de diferentes frequencias semanais de treinamento com pesos sobre a composição corporal e capacidades motoras em homens idosos
The effects of weight training made with different intensities, frequencies and volumes provide beneficial answers and are well spread among young people and athletes. However, studies that look for the effects of weight training held at different frequencies weekly are limited to elder populations. So, the purpose of this study was to analyze and compare th

4. Contribution from embodied-enactive approach of workers action in the work activity: ontologies of reality in the complex systems of operations. / Contribuição da abordagem enactivo-incorporada da ação operatória na atividade de trabalho: ontologias da realidade nos sistemas complexos de operações.
This work analyzes, in detail, that cognition is embodied action in work process. The operators don.t represent an external world but think in order to act as part of your thinking. The key point in this text is that, without anything like an internal representation, workers (operators) engage, at work activity, in sensorimotor coordination in response to en

5. Ciclimo de velocidade : uma proposta de controle da preparação fisica especial / Short track races : a proposal control of the special physical preparation
The cyc1ing is an Olympic sport composed by events with different motor capacities, demanding a particular and deepened study of each one. In the last years the race bicycles had passed for great technological evolution, making of the light and resistant materials, important for the increase of the sporting performance, however only the easiness of access to

7. STUDY OF MOTOR CAPACITIES OF OBESE ADOLESCENTS / "Estudo das capacidades motoras de adolescentes obesos"

This study is mainly focused on the analysis of the significance of the Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics? practices developed in Physical Education classes for children between the ages of 6 (six) and 10 (ten) years. With the objective to present the ?Growing with Gymnastic? Project, of the UNICAMP Physical Education School as a possibility of application of

9. Active Nucleosome Displacement: A Theoretical Approach
Three-quarters of eukaryotic DNA are wrapped around protein cylinders forming so-called nucleosomes that block the access to the genetic information. Nucleosomes need therefore to be repositioned, either passively (by thermal fluctuations) or actively (by molecular motors). Here we introduce a theoretical model that allows us to study the interplay between a

10. Metabolic and contractile uniformity of isolated motor unit fibres of snake muscle.
1. Motor units in the thin transversus abdominis muscle of the garter snake were identified and physiologically characterized in the living state. Motor unit fibres, and fibres chosen randomly to serve as controls, were subsequently excised and subjected to biochemical analyses. 2. The metabolic capacity of fibres was assessed by measuring activities of thre

11. Pure psychic akinesia with bilateral lesions of basal ganglia.
Three patients showed dramatic psychic akinesia after recovery from toxic encephalopathy. They had no or only mild motor disorders. The spontaneous psychic akinesia was reversible when the patient was stimulated, as if there was a loss of self psychic activation. Intellectual capacities were normal. Two patients had stereotyped behaviours resembling compulsi

12. The clinical effect of lumbar puncture in normal pressure hydrocephalus.
Owing to all the difficulties involved in selecting patients with normal pressure hydrocephalus for shunt-operation, a cerebrospinal fluid-tap-test (CSF-TT) is introduced. Psychometric and motor capacities of the patients are measured before and after lumbar puncture and removal of 40-50 ml CSF. Patients fulfilling criteria for normal pressure hydrocephalus
