25. Synthesis of graft copolymers of acrylamide for locust bean gum using microwave energy: swelling behavior, flocculation characteristics and acute toxicity study
The graft copolymer of locust bean gum (LBG) and acrylamide has been synthesized by microwave assisted method using potassium persulphate (KPS) as an initiator in aqueous medium. Different reaction parameters such as time, initiator concentration, monomer concentration, polymer concentration, and microwave power were studied to get maximum graft copolymer. T

26. Synthesis, characterization and microwave dielectric properties of flower - like Co(OH)2/C nanocomposites
Flower - like Co(OH)2/C nanocomposites have been synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method. Flower - like Co(OH)2/C nanocomposites were self - assembled by the nanosheets with the thickness distribution of 50 - 80 nm and abundant flocculent carbon structures. With the help of transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometer, nanosheets w

27. Mathematical modeling of microwave dried celery leaves and determination of the effective moisture diffusivities and activation energy
Celery (Apium graveolens L. var. secalinum Alef) leaves with 50±0.07 g weight and 91.75±0.15% humidity (~11.21 db) were dried using 8 different microwave power densities ranging between 1.8-20 W g-1, until the humidity fell down to 8.95±0.23% (~0.1 db). Microwave drying processes were completed between 5.5 and 77 min depending on the microwave power densi

28. Evaluation of a nanostructured microwave absorbent coating applied to a glass fiber/polyphenylene sulfide laminated composite
The rapid coating of composites with absorbing paints yields materials that can absorb microwave radiation and still have approximately the same specific mass of the original composites. The use of paints with specific electromagnetic properties together with carbon- nanotube-based materials allows the production of structural materials of interest to the ae

29. Synthesis and characterization of Ni-Mo filler brazing alloy for Mo-W joining for microwave tube technology
A brazing process based on Ni-Mo alloy was developed to join porous tungsten cathode bottom and dense molybdenum cathode body for microwave tubes manufacture. The Ni-Mo alloy was obtained by mixing and milling powders in the eutectic composition, and applied on the surface of the components. The brazing was made at 1400 °C by using induction heating in hydr

31. Copolymer of acrylonitrile and vinyl-imidazole from the chemical modification of polyacrylonitrile / Obtenção do copolímero de acrilonitrila e vinil-imidazol a partir da modificação química da poliacrilonitrila
Polymers containing heterocyclic rings such as imidazole, have a great scientific and commercial interest due to its use in several areas. Such polymers can be obtained by chemical modification of polymers such as polyacrylonitrile commercial. Generally, this type of reaction is carried out by conventional heating (thermal). However, more recently, the micro

32. Numerical solution of coupled mass and energy balances during osmotic microwave dehydration
The mass and energy transfer during osmotic microwave drying (OD-MWD) process was studied theoretically by modeling and numerical simulation. With the aim to describe the transport phenomena that occurs during the combined dehydration process, the mass and energy microscopic balances were solved. An osmotic-diffusional model was used for osmotic dehydration
