1. Selective Determination of Unsymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine on a Prussian Blue Modified Carbon Paste Electrode
The electrocatalytic oxidation of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) has been studied on a Prussian Blue modified carbon paste electrode (PBMCPE) by cyclic voltammetry technique. The results show that Prussian Blue acts as a suitable modifier for electron transfer in the oxidation of UDMH. A linear range of 3 × 10-5 to 1.15 × 10-3 mol L-1, with a limit

3. Recuperação de compostos de iodo de reagentes e soluções laboratoriais
This work presents simple routes to recover iodine compounds from oxidized laboratory chemicals and aqueous solutions (HI and KI) used in laboratory chemistry classes. These routes are based on the oxidation of iodide ions (I-) to iodine (I2) by an oxidant (H2O2) or reduction of oxidized iodine by red phosphorus or hydrazine. Both routes presented high yield

4. Carbon nanofibers: a versatile catalytic support
The aim of this article is present an overview of the promising results obtained while using carbon nanofibers based composites as catalyst support for different practical applications: hydrazine decomposition, styrene synthesis, direct oxidation of H2S into elementary sulfur and as fuel-cell electrodes. We have also discussed some prospects of the use of th

5. Electrocatalytic oxidation of hydrazine in alkaline media promoted by iron tetrapyridinoporphyrazine adsorbed on graphite surface

6. DETERMINAÇÃO DE HIDRAZINA POR VOLTAMETRIA DE ONDA QUADRADA SOBRE ELETRODO DE GRAFITE MODIFICADO COM FeTPyPz / HYDRAZINE DETERMINATION FOR VOLTAMMETRIC OF SQUARE SHAPED WAVE ON GRAPHITE ELECTRODE MODIFIED WITH FeTPyPz
In this work, the determination of hydrazine (N2H4) in aqueous solutions was investigated by voltammetric techniques on pyrolytic graphite electrodes (GP) before and after modification with iron tetra-pyridinoporphyrazine (FeTPyPz). The modified electrode GP/FeTPyPz presented higher oxidation currents and better voltammetric profiles in comparison with the u

In this work will be prepared mixed oxide phosphate (=SiO)2 Ti(O3POH)2 (STP), having a specific surface area of SBET= 595 m g and an average pore volume of 0.43 cm g was prepared by sol-gel method. The material showed the following characteristics: Ti = 11.6 wt% and P = 10.5 wt%; ion exchange capacity of 0.60 mmol g. The Meldola s Blue(MLB) and Methylene Blu

9. Reatividade de diazirinas e diaziridinas com compostos de paladio (II) em solventes proticos e aproticos
In this work, 3,3-pentamethylenediaziridine, N-methyl-3,3-pentamethylenediaziridine and N-cyclohexyl-3,3-pentamethylene diaziridine were prepared, as described in the literature. The coordination of these diaziridines with palladium(II) compounds was studied; these heterocycles react with bis-benzoni-trile-dichloropalladium(II), yielding air stable complexes

10. On the Mechanism and Stoichiometry of the Oxidation of Hydrazine by Illuminated Chloroplasts 1
Hydrazine can support a rapid oxygen uptake in illuminated chloroplasts. The oxygen uptake rate is inhibited by 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1, 1-dimethylurea but is only slightly increased by added methyl viologen, and little H2O2 is produced. The pH optimum for hydrazine-dependent oxygen uptake is much higher than that of the Hill reaction. Addition of Mn (II) i

11. Interaction of Ammonia Monooxygenase from Nitrosomonas europaea with Alkanes, Alkenes, and Alkynes
Ammonia monooxygenase of Nitrosomonas europaea catalyzes the oxidation of alkanes (up to C8) to alcohols and alkenes (up to C5) to epoxides and alcohols in the presence of ammonium ions. Straight-chain, N-terminal alkynes (up to C10) all exhibited a time-dependent inhibition of ammonia oxidation without effects on hydrazine oxidation.

12. Oxidation of Nitrapyrin to 6-Chloropicolinic Acid by the Ammonia-Oxidizing Bacterium Nitrosomonas europaea
Suspensions of Nitrosomonas europaea catalyzed the oxidation of the commercial nitrification inhibitor nitrapyrin [2-chloro-6-(trichloromethyl)-pyridine]. Rapid oxidation of nitrapyrin (at a concentration of 10 μM) required the concomitant oxidation of ammonia, hydroxylamine, or hydrazine. The turnover rate was highest in the presence of 10 mM ammonia (0.8
