1. Aspettare a Ventimiglia. La frontiera italo-francese fra militarizzazione, crisi dell’accoglienza e solidarietà
Abstract This ethnography was conducted on the French-Italian border in Ventimiglia from 2019 until autumn 2021. The previous knowledge of the area has allowed understanding of how the management by the States of the Covid-19 pandemic has redefined the border device. The article starts with a description of how the border controls operate and continuously ch

2. Sobre a dinâmica das colisões atômicas frias controladas em redes ópticas / On the dynamic of the cold atomic controlled collisions in optical lattices

3. Geometria e simetrias do emaranhamento
In the present work we present a geometric method to identify and measure the degree of entanglement of a two-qubit state. It is based on writing a map of the system state, from a non-unitary transformation. By introducing new parameters for such 4X4 matrix, the product of eigenvalues, two by two, acquire the form of squared 4D distances, having a Minkowski

4. Classical and quantum correlations under decoherence / Correlações clássicas e quânticas sob decoerência
Recently, in the context of discrete variables, the existence of quantum correlations that are more general than entanglement was identified. We may conjecture that these correlations are a very important resource in quantum information science and in some areas of physics. However, this fragile resource is quickly destroyed by the decoherence process. In th

5. Quantum entanglement in a many-body system exhibiting multiple quantum phase transitions
We investigate the quantum entanglement-related features of the many-body model of Plastino and Moszkowski [N. Cimento 47 (1978) 470]. This is an exactly solvable N-body, SU2 two-level model exhibiting several quantum phase transitions. We show that these transitions happen to be also entanglement-transitions associated with different many-body Dicke states.

6. Reconstrução de estados de sistemas quanticos compostos e caracterização de emaranhamento por operações locais e comunicação classica / State reconstruction of composite quantum systems and entanglement characterization by local operations and classical communication
We propose a method to obtain properties of composite quantum systems using strictly local measurements and classical communication only. This differs from schemes usually employed in quantum information protocols where global and/or joint local operations are commonly used. Our treatment consists of analysing the effect of measurements of a system over subm

7. Analise e geração de emaranhamento em sistemas de variaveis discreta e continua via atomos / Analysis and generation of entanglement in systems of continuous and discrete variables via atoms
In this thesis, we present two results of entanglement generation, both involving atom-radiation interaction. In the first part, we consider a scheme for generation of entangled states involving electronic states of two distant ions, each one placed in a cavity. A flying atom, that crosses these cavities, is responsible for the generation of entangled states

8. Modelo de Jaynes-Cummings completo de dois fótons: estudo e aplicações / Jaynes-Cummings model complete two photons: study and applications
In this work we have studied the two photon Jaynes-Cummings model to describe the interaction of a three-level atom in the configuration with a single-mode of a cativy-field. We have used the effetive and full microscopic Jamiltonian approach to compare the results obtained in these tow descriptions. We employed the two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model int the f

9. Emaranhamento e estados de produto de matrizes em transições de fase quanticas / Entanglement and matrix product states in quantum phase transitions
This thesis attempts to contribute to the understanding of possible connections between Quantum Information and Condensed Matter theories, a new field of research in broad development. Specifically, we investigated the role of entanglement, or quantumcorrelations, in continuous quantum phase transitions. While the importance of the first in the theory of Qua

10. The quasi-degenerative Raman model and entanglement reciprocation / O modelo Raman quase-degenerado e transferencia de emaranhamento
The main purpose of this dissertation is to study a new model to describe the interaction between an atom and a mode of the quantized electromagnetic field and also its application to the entanglement reciprocation problem between qubits and continuous variable systems. Firstly, we review the main model used to describe the atom field interaction, known as th

11. Quantum entanglement between atoms located in distinct cavities / Emaranhamento quantico entre atomos localizados em cavidades distintas
In this work, we study the dynamics of the entanglement between two remote atoms in distinct cavities. The main focus is the production of maximal entangled states between identical atoms of two levels in distinct cavities and, in particular, coupled cavities. Initially we present the main concepts of the Theory of Quantum Information, qualitative and quanti

12. Propriedades fisicas de operações gaussianas sobre estados gaussianos emaranhados / Physical properties of gaussian operations over entangled gaussian states
We study quantum Gaussian states and the physical properties associated to operations over such class of states, which preserve the respective Gaussian nature. General properties of global covariance matrices representing two-mode bipartite Gaussian states can be decomposed into properties of local covariance matrices and their Schur complements. We demonstr
