1. The Influence of the Platinum Weight Percentage in the Catalyst Formulation on the Performance of a High Temperature Ethanol Electroreformer Based on H3PO4 Doped Polybenzimidazole for Green Hydrogen Production
A vapor-fed high temperature proton exchange ethanol electroreformer has been developed based on the use of a H3PO4-doped polybenzimidazole membrane to produce green hydrogen. As a key parameter, this article describes the influence of platinum weight percent (wt.%) in the catalyst formulation from different commercial catalysts (20, 40, 60, 80 wt.% Pt/C and

2. Synthesis of Triazoles by Electro-Assisted Click Reaction Using a Copper Foil Electrode
This paper presents an innovative pathway for the synthesis of triazoles using the well-known “click chemistry” assisted by the electrochemical oxidation of metallic Cu0. The click reaction is used to couple a wide range of biological interest compounds. In this case, faster and less polluting methods for a biological environment was achived by in situ C

3. Synergistic Supramolecular Effect on the Electro-Oxidation of Biological Relevant Molecules: A Novel Sensor for Simultaneous Determination of Epinephrine and Uric Acid in Human Urine Using MWCNT and a Copper(II) Complex
In this paper a novel supramolecular strategy to improve the efficiency of a voltammetric sensor to determine two biologically relevant molecules (epinephrine (EP) and uric acid (UA)) is presented. The strategy is based on the use of a glassy carbon electrode modified with a copper(II) complex ([Cu(H2dimpy)Cl]PF6) adsorbed on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (M

4. Interrelation Among Morphology, Mechanical Properties and Oxidation Behavior of NbxAlyNz Thin Films
NbxAlyNz thin films were deposited by magnetron sputtering reactive technique with (y/x+y) ratio varying from 0 to 0.4, in order to maintain aluminum atoms inside NbN matrix in solid solution. GAXRD analyses revealed that the crystalline phase obtained for NbxAlyNz thin films was B1-NbN with a lattice constant shrinkage as Al concentration at these coatings

5. Ethylene Glycol Electro-Oxidation on Platinum-Free Surfaces: How the Composition of PdRuRh Surfaces Influences the Catalysis
In this work we performed electrochemical (cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperommetry) and spectroelectrochemical studies (in situ Fourier transform infrared (FTIR)) in PdRuRh electrodeposits in acidic media in presence of ethylene glycol (0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mol L-1). The electrochemical results show that the ethylene glycol oxidation is sensitive to the compos

6. Low Potential and Non-Enzymatic Hydrogen Peroxide Sensor Based on Copper Oxide Nanoparticle on Activated Pencil Graphite Electrode
An electrochemical sensor for H2O2 determination was prepared by electrodepositing copper oxide nanoparticles on the activated pencil graphite electrodes. At first, a study has been made of the optimum conditions for chemical activation of the pencil graphite electrodes (APGE) and then the activated pencil graphite electrode was modified with copper oxide na

7. Anodic Oxidation of Sulfide to Sulfate: Effect of the Current Density on the Process Kinetics
The kinetics of the conversion of sulfide to sulfate by electro-oxidation, using a boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrode was studied. Different applied current densities were tested, from 10 to 60 mA cm-2. The results showed that the electrochemical conversion of sulfide to sulfate occurs in steps, via intermediate production of other sulfur species. The oxida

8. Non-Enzymatic Amperometric Determination of Glucose by CuO Nanobelt Graphene Composite Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode
We have successfully developed for the first time an electrochemical sensor for glucose by using a simple and effective design of growing CuO nanobelts graphene composites (CuO@G). The as prepared composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction studies (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM)

9. Simultaneous Determination of Ascorbic Acid, L-Dopa, Uric Acid, Insulin, and Acetylsalicylic Acid on Reactive Blue 19 and Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotube Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode
A trifunctional electrochemical sensor was fabricated for simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid (AA), levodopa (LD), and insulin. This was done by modifying a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with multi-walled carbon nanotubes and reactive blue 19 (RB-MWCNT-GCE). Cyclic voltammetry was used to investigate the redox properties of this modified electrode. T

10. APARATO ELETROQUÍMICO PARA SISTEMA DE AQUISIÇÃO DE DADOS MULTICANAL COM RESOLUÇÃO ESPAÇO-TEMPORAL
Spatiotemporal pattern formation in reaction-transport systems takes place spontaneously when the system is kept far from thermodynamic equilibrium. Targets, reaction fronts, waves, spirals, spots and stripes are some typical examples of selforganized structuring. In electrochemical systems, monitoring spatiotemporal patterns of potential in the solid/liquid

12. Influência do método de preparação de eletrocatalisadores PtRu/C sobre a atividade catalítica frente à reação de oxidação de etanol em meio ácido
In this work the influence of variations in the borohydrate reduction method on the properties of PtRu/C electrocatalysts was investigated. The electrocatalysts were prepared using 1:1 ; 2:1; 5:1; 50:1 and 250:1 molar ratios of NaBH4 to metals. The reduction was also performed by dripping or by fast addition of the solution. The results showed that PtRu nano
