1. Microfacies and diagenetic evolution of the limestones of the upper part of the Crato Formation, Araripe Basin, northeastern Brazil
Abstract This paper presents the results of a petrographic and diagenetic study of the laminated limestones of the upper part of the Aptian to Albian Crato Formation, northeast of Brazil. The applied techniques were optical microscopy, cathodoluminescence and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled to a wavelength-dispersive spectrometer (WDS). Petrograph

2. Stratigraphic Relations of the Ipubi Formation: Siliciclastic-Evaporitic Succession of the Araripe Basin
ABSTRACT The Ipubi Formation represents the Aptian-Albian siliciclastic-evaporitic succession of Araripe Basin, NE Brazil. This succession comprises siliciclastic rocks (bituminous shales and claystones) and evaporites (gypsum and secondary anhydrite) and represents part of the lacustrine-shallow marine post-rift phase I. This study used sequence stratigraph

3. First Occurrence and Paleo-Ecological Implications of Insects (Orthoptera: Ensifera Gryllidae) in the Romualdo Member of the Santana Formation, Eo-Cretaceous of the Araripe Basin
ABSTRACT The Romualdo Member of the Santana Formation, a lithostatigraphic unit attributed to a marine intrusion, is famous for its preserved fossils in calcareous concretions, which stand out for their diversity and excellent preservation levels. This paper aims to record the first occurrence of the Class Insecta in the Romualdo Member of the Santana Format

4. A new angiosperm from the Crato Formation (Araripe Basin, Brazil) and comments on the Early Cretaceous Monocotyledons

5. Redescription of Tijubina pontei, an Early Cretaceous lizard (Reptilia; Squamata) from the Crato Formation of Brazil

6. A paleoictiofauna da Formação Missão Velha, Cretáceo Inferior da Bacia do Araripe, Nordeste do Brasil / The paleoichthyofauna of Missão Velha formation, Lower Cretaceous of Araripe Basin, Northeastern Brazil

7. New evidence of feathers in the Crato Formation supporting a reappraisal on the presence of Aves

The terpenoid composition of seven amber samples from Araripe Basin (Santana Formation, Crato Member) has been analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry to determine their botanical origin. The diterpenoids, which have been identified in the fossil resin extracts are derived primarily from the abietane class, e.g., dehydroabietane, 4-epidehydroabietol

This study presents the evolution of paleontological knowledge and date evidence to date on marine paleoenvironments in the Araripe Basin, northeastern Brazil. It is also description and analysis of isotopes of C and O of a new species of bivalve mollusk as a contribution on knowledge of mollusk fauna and paleoenvironment of the Santana Formation (Early Cret
