4. Risk of premature coronary atherosclerosis in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: In the current literature, there are few studies investigating the relationship between premature coronary atherosclerosis and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. We aimed to evaluate the relationship between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and premature coronary atherosclerosis. METHODS: In this cross-sectional study, female patients age

5. Giant Left Anterior Descending Coronary Artery Aneurysm in a Patient with Behçet’s Disease
ABSTRACT Coronary artery involvement is quite rare in the course of Behçet’s disease. Complications secondary to coronary artery aneurysms, including rupture, dissection, and myocardial ischemia, may be fatal. In young patients without cardiovascular risk factors, systemic inflammatory vasculitis syndromes should be investigated in case of acute coronary

6. Evaluation of Plasma Asprosin Concentration in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease
Abstract Introduction: The goal of this study is to investigate the association between diagnosis and severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) and Asprosin level. Methods: Patients diagnosed with CAD who underwent conventional coronary angiography for the first time were included in the present study. The patients were divided into four groups, each consi

7. 9p21 Locus Polymorphisms: Risk and Severity Factors of Coronary Artery Disease in Venezuelan Patients
Abstract Background: The 9p21 region is the most relevant locus associated with coronary heart disease in different populations. However, there are no studies that prove that this region is a risk factor in the Venezuelan population. Objectives: To analyze whether or not the 9p21 rs1333049 polymorphism is a risk factor for acute myocardial infarction (AMI)

8. Relationship between ventricular repolarization parameters and the inducibility of ventricular arrhythmias during electrophysiological study in patients with coronary artery disease
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: Risk stratification of sudden cardiac death in patients with coronary artery disease is of great importance. We evaluated the association between ventricular repolarization and induction of malignant ventricular arrhythmias on electrophysiological study of patients with coronary artery disease. METHODS AND RESULTS: A total of 177 patient

9. The prognostic value of the CHA2DS2-VASc score in coronary collateral circulation and long-term mortality in coronary artery disease
SUMMARY BACKGROUND: The CHA2DS2-VASc score is used to determine thromboembolic risk in cases of atrial fibrillation. The predictive value of this score in predicting coronary collateral circulation in chronic total occlusion is unknown. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the CHA2DS2-VASc score and coronary collater

11. Coexisting Coronary and Carotid Artery Disease: What We Did, What Happened
ABSTRACT Introduction: There is no complete consensus on the three surgical methods and long-term consequences for coexisting coronary and carotid artery disease. We retrospectively evaluated the surgical results in this high-risk group in our clinic for a decade. Methods: Between 2005 and 2015, 196 patients were treated for combined carotid and coronary a
