1. Obtaining of Fe3O4@C Core-Shell Nanoparticles as an Adsorbent of Tetracycline in Aqueous Solutions
Tetracycline is used to treat various diseases in animals and humans, so its high use causes this substance to be frequently found in effluents and in potable water reservoirs, causing serious problems for human health and the environment. Many processes are applied and evaluated in an attempt to removal tetracycline found in environment, such as adsorption.

2. Fe3O4-TiO2 and Fe3O4-SiO2 Core-shell Powders Synthesized from Industrially Processed Magnetite (Fe3O4) Microparticles
The interest for core-shells has been increased in the recent years due to their improved and modifiable properties. In this work, Fe3O4-TiO2 and Fe3O4-SiO2 core-shells were successfully synthesized from an industrially produced magnetite-rich powder with micro- and nanometric particle sizes, superparamagnetic behavior and saturation magnetization of 49 emu/

3. Preparation and Performance of an Estradiol Templated Magnetic Sphere of Molecularly Imprinted Cryogel
An estradiol templated core-shell magnetic molecularly imprinted cryogel (MMIC) was synthesized to selectively extract and analyze estradiol in milk powder. The microsphere of Fe3O4@SiO2 was firstly prepared on Fe3O4 with ethyl silicate and 3-methyl propyl trimethoxy silane. Then the polymerization of α-methacrylic acid and ethylene glycol dimethyl acrylate

4. Chemical resistance of core-shell particles (PS/PMMA) polymerized by seeded suspension
Abstract Core-shell particles were produced on seeded suspension polymerization by using polystyrene (PS) as polymer core, or seed, and methyl methacrylate (MMA) as the shell forming monomer. Two synthesis routes were evaluated by varying the PS seed conversion before MMA addition. The main purpose of this work was to investigate the influence of synthesis r

5. Synthesis of Submicrometer Calcium Carbonate Particles from Inorganic Salts Using Linear Polymers as Crystallization Modifiers
In this study, we report the synthesis of submicrometer calcium carbonate particles using the simplest approach of mixing solutions of calcium chloride and ammonium carbonate inorganic precursors in the presence of crystallization modifiers. Instead of the typical crystallization of CaCO3 into large calcite crystals with rhombohedral morphology, very small u

6. Modification of Vietnam Natural Rubber via Graft Copolymerization with Styrene
Graft copolymerization of styrene onto deproteinized natural rubber (DPNR) using tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHPO) and tetraethylene pentamine (TEPA) as redox initiator have been investigated. The effects of initiator and monomer concentration on conversion and grafting efficiency were studied. The dynamic mechanical and thermal properties of the graft copoly

7. Preparation of PLLA/PMMA and PLLA/PS binary blend nanoparticles by incorporation of PLLA in methyl methacrylate or styrene miniemulsion homopolymerization
Miniemulsion homopolymerization reactions of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and styrene (STY) using poly(L-lactide) as co-stabilizer were carried out in order to prepare poly(L-lactide)/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PLLA/PMMA) and poly(L-lactide)/polystyrene (PLLA/PS) binary blend nanoparticles. The effect of PLLA concentration on methyl methacrylate (MMA) and styre

8. Preparation and characterization of microspheres polymeric core-shell morphology and magnetic properties based on styrene and divinylbenzene / Preparação e caracterização de microesferas poliméricas com morfologia casca-núcleo e propriedades magnéticas à base de estireno e divinilbenzeno

9. Blendas de poli(metacrilato de metila) e do elastômero saturado poli(acrilonitrila-g-(etileno-co-propileno-co-dieno-g-estireno) obitdas por polimerização in situ / Blends of poly(methyl methacrylate) and the saturated elastomer poly(acrylonitrile-g-(ethylene-co-propylene-co-diene)-g-styrene) prepared by in situ polymerization
In this work, blends of the poly(methyl methacrylate), PMMA, and the poly[acrylonitrile-g-(ethylene-co-propylene-co-diene)-g-styrene], AES, were prepared. AES is a complex mixture of poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile), SAN, and poly(ethylene-copropylene-co-diene), EPDM, and the graft copolymer EPDM-g-SAN. Blends PMMA-AES were obtained by polymerization in situ,

11. Preparação e estudo fotofísico de nanopartículas de sílica marcadas com compostos fluorescentes / Preparation and photophysical study of silica nanoparticles grafted with fluorescent compounds
Photophysical behavior of 9-aminoacridine (9AA) and derivatives, safranine O, auramine and 9-vinylanthracene was investigated, in silica particles. Firstly, commercial silica was modified and grafted with acridinic dyes; however, photophysical studies became unviable, due to its morphology. Silica nanospheres were prepared by Stöber method, with mean diamet
