1. Zinc Hexacyanoferrate/Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Films for Rechargeable Aqueous Batteries
Zinc hexacyanoferrate (ZnHCF) is a Prussian Blue analog and can be intercalated by both monovalent and divalent ions. ZnHCF/multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) film could be used as a cathode for zinc ions battery. Carbon nanotubes improved significantly the electrochemical performance of the electrode. It is described the preparation of ZnHCF/MWCNT films b

3. Evaluation of Carbon Nanotubes/Polyaniline Thin Films for Development of Electrochemical Sensors
Thin films of multiwalled carbon nanotubes/polyaniline nanocomposites (CNT/PAni) were synthesized through the liquid/liquid (L/L) interfacial route, deposited over glass substrates, and evaluated through cyclic voltammetry and amperometry as electrochemical sensor, using L-ascorbic acid as probe. Films with three different CNT/PAni ratios have been prepared.

4. Ab initio Study of 17α-Ethinylestradiol and Estrone Molecules Interacting with Single Wall Carbon Nanotube
In this work, a systematic study of 17α-ethinylestradiol and estrone molecules interacting with single wall carbon nanotube is presented by means of first principle calculations. The structural properties, binding energy, charge transfer, and electronic properties were calculated and analyzed to characterize the effect of interaction of 17α-ethinylestradio

6. CATALYST PREPARATION METHODS TO REDUCE CONTAMINANTS IN A HIGH-YIELD PURIFICATION PROCESS OF MULTIWALLED CARBON NANOTUBES
Abstract CoMo/MgO catalysts with low loading of cobalt and molybdenum were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation and the sol-gel method for high yield production of carbon nanotubes (CNT). A detailed characterization of the catalysts, as-produced CNT and purified CNT, indicated a relationship between carbon nanotube properties, synthesis and purificatio

7. HYDROXYAPATITE - CARBON NANOTUBE COMPOSITES FOR DRUG DELIVERY APPLICATIONS
Abstract The aim of this study was the synthesis of composites containing hydroxyapatite (Hap) or silicon substituted hydroxyapatite (HapSi), carboxyl functionalized carbon nanotubes (fMWCNT) and gelatin (G) in different ratios. Ibuprofen (IBU) was chosen as a model drug for the formulation of extended-release dosage forms. The obtained composites were chara

8. A Review of Using Conductive Composite Materials in Solving Lightening Strike and Ice Accumulation Problems in Aviation
ABSTRACT: There are many problems facing aircraft in the air during flight, such as lightning strikes and ice accumulation on aircraft surfaces. These problems usually reduce aircraft efficiency and lead to serious accidents and fatalities. However, the current protection systems used to solve these problems of aircraft represent excessive energy usage, a ha

9. Mechanical Behavior of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube Reinforced 7075 Aluminum Alloy Composites Prepared by Mechanical Milling and Hot Extrusion
In this paper, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were synthesized by spray pyrolysis to be used later as material reinforcement in the production of MWCNTs/Al7075 aluminum composites. Both, MWCNTs and MWCNTs/Al7075 composites were microstructurally and mechanically characterized. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis shows MWCNTs formed by multiple

10. Multi-walled carbon nanotube reinforced polymer as a bonded repair for Al 2024-T3 fatigue crack growth
ABSTRACT The influence on multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT, or simply CNT) as a reinforcement material in an epoxy resin in order to decrease the fatigue crack propagation rate in the 2024 T3 aeronautical Al alloy was studied. CT samples were pre-cracked in a resonant fatigue machine until a 4 mm pre-crack length. Four groups of samples were considered:

11. Effect of the Morphology and Structure on the Microwave Absorbing Properties of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube Filled Epoxy Resin Nanocomposites
The current research shows the effect of structural and morphological differences of multilayer carbon nanotubes (CNT) on radar absorbing materials (RAM) performance. Two CNT samples, from different manufacturers, had their morphological and structural aspects investigated by XRD, SEM and SEM-FEG analyses. CNT/epoxy resin based nanostructured composites were

12. Carbon Nanotube-Supported Copper-Cobalt Catalyst for the Production of Higher Carbon Number Alcohols through Carbon Monoxide Hydrogenation
A series of carbon nanotube (CNTs)-supported copper-cobalt catalysts were prepared and investigated in a slurry reactor for their ability to selectively convert syngas into higher carbon number alcohols. The 7.5Cu7.5Co/CNTs catalyst achieved superior selectivity towards the formation of ethanol (30.1%) and C2+ alcohols (57.7%), while the 10Co5Cu/CNTs catalys
