1. Production of flour made from bullfrog’s meat and bone
Abstract Bullfrog meat marketed in Brazil has been gaining ground among the population due to its soft flavor, low calorie content, and high protein content. It is recommended for treating gastrointestinal and allergic diseases. This study aims to maximize the use of bullfrog carcass by applying a heating technology that enables the use of bones in gastronom

2. Presence of ascites in bullfrog breeders reared and kept on a frog farm
O obje

3. Reproductive phenology of the American Bullfrog in subtropical Brazil: photoperiod as a main determinant of seasonal activity

4. Autonomic regulation of heart rate during specific dynamic action associated with digestion in the bullfrog Lithobates catesbeianus
ABSTRACT Feeding causes a substantial rise in the aerobic metabolism of all vertebrates, which is met by a rise in heart rate to secure adequate oxygen delivery, as well as intestinal nutrient absorption and transport between organs. To study the autonomic regulation of this postprandial tachycardia in an amphibian, we placed arterial catheters in individual

6. Frog meat microbiota (Lithobates catesbeianus) used in infant food
Captive breeding of bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) is of great economic potential, mainly for its thighs and leather. The nutritional quality of frog meat includes properly balanced amino acids with a protein profile of high biological value, low fat and low cholesterol, and high digestibility due to its short chain molecule structure. It is recommended

7. Avaliação de características físico-químicas da carne de rã-touro (Lithobates catesbeianus) liofilizada de pigmentação normal e albina / Evaluation of physico-chemical characteristics of meat from bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) lyophilized normally pigmented and albino.

8. Diet and trophic niche of Lithobates catesbeianus (Amphibia: Anura)
Lithobates catesbeianus (Shaw, 1802) is an invasive anuran introduced in Brazil that is associated with the displacement and the decline of populations of native species worldwide. There is evidence that biological invasions are facilitated by certain attributes of the invading species, for instance niche breath, and that invasive species have a broader ecol

9. Anesthetic effects on tadpoles and post-metamorphic frogs of bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) / Efeito de anestésicos em girinos e rãs pós-metamórficas de rã-touro (Lithobates catesbeianus)

10. Time interval from ovulation to extrusion in female bullfrog in different photoperiods
It was analyzed in this work the influence of photoperiod on time interval from ovulation induction period to extrusion of ovocits in female bullfrogs (Lithobates catesbeianus). It was used 54 females reared from metamorphosis to 9 months of age under three photoperiods: dark time (DL 0:24), 16 hours of daylight (DL 16:8) and 12 hours of daylight (DL 12:12).

Hábito alimentar da rã invasora Lithobates catesbeianus (Shaw, 1802) e sua relação com anuros nativos na Zona da Mata de Minas Gerais, Brasil / Feeding habits of the invasive frog Lithobates catesbeianus (Shaw, 1802) and its relationship with native anurans in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais state, Brazil
The American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) was introduced into several countries for commercial breeding, settling invasive populations during this process. In Brazil the beginning of its farming occurred on the 1930 s, and currently invasive populations can be found in the South, Southeast and Central-West regions. It has a generalist feeding habit, an
