13. Collection of peripheral blood progenitor cell after administration of cyclophosphamide and granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (GCSF): an analysis of 307 patients / Coleta de células progenitoras hematopoéticas de sangue periférico após administração de ciclofosfamida e fator estimulador de colônias de granulócitos (G-CSF): uma análise de 307 pacientes
Inadequate stem cells mobilization is seen in 10-30% of patients undergoing autotransplantation for hematologic malignancies. Factors affecting peripheral blood progenitor cell (PBSC) mobilization have not been clearly established. We retrospectively reviewed the data of patients treated by autologous bone marrow transplantation (BMT) with the aim to identif

20. Parathyroid autotransplantation during thyroidectomy. Results of long-term follow-up.
SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA: Permanent hypoparathyroidism is a recognized complication of thyroidectomy. Operative strategies to prevent this complication include preservation of parathyroid glands in situ and autotransplantation of parathyroid glands resected or devascularized during thyroidectomy. METHODS: An analysis of 194 patients having thyroidectomy and s

21. Human Cardiac Explantation and Autotransplantation: Report of a Case
A rare paraganglioma of the chromaffin type, located intrapericardially, was removed from a 42-year-old man by autotransplantation of the heart. Although the results were unfavorable in this case, the technique of autotransplantation deserves consideration in resecting large tumors that encroach upon the heart. To our knowledge, this technique has not been p

24. Lower limb vascularization by means of omental autotransplantation
A case of successful autotransplantation of the omentum is presented, and some of the possible uses of this technique are discussed. The procedure appears to be a sensible means of limb salvage in patients with Buerger's disease, an advanced state of vascular insufficiency, with a lack of run-off vessels.
