RESUMO
This work presents a study of medical handbook systems, the project and development of a system Electronic Handbook and itâs implantation in the General Hospital of the Army of Curitiba (HGeC). Initially the concepts and the legislation on patientâs handbook are presented and to follow all the physical infrastructure and the services necessary to offer support to this kind of system. After a functional analysis of the HGeC, suggested a new structure for organization of the information. In order to guarantee remote access, the handbook system language PHP and database MySQL. The developed handbook system guarantees to the administrators the possibility to include new modules, in accordance with the functional necessities of the hospital, beyond the complete control and registers of access to all modules. The handbook system was implanted in the HGeC tests. The results gotten until the moment are satisfactory and the system will be able to come to be adopted in other units of the national army
