RESUMO

The present paper characterizes five implicit theories about technology and the teaching of technology and analyzes the distribution of the teachers preferences about them. According with the methodoly framework proposed by Rodrigo et al. (1993), the study used factorial analysis to systematize information obtained from a test applied to 66 Basic General Education (EGB) teachers, in Argentine.
