RESUMO
In this work, a morphological representation for template matching in grayscale images is presented. This representation is obtained through the composition of the Pattern Matching Operator with the Operator for Global Maximum GrayLevel Location, which can be expressed in terms of the following classes of Mathematical Morphology elementary operators: dilations, erosions and antidilations. Based on this representation a method for matching in grayscale images is proposed and implemented on the Khoros system. Finally, some experiments using this method are presented for digital images (TM/Landsat and aerial photography).
