RESUMO

This abstract intends to contribute to the History of Education in the State of Paraná. It investigates the History of Art, such as its development in the College of Arts of Paraná between 1970 and 1990. Through this time, it intends to demonstrate the fundaments and knowledge of the History of Art confering the formation of the art-educator. At first moment, it presents the historical context that configured the subjects of History of Art in the College of Arts of Paraná. After that, it presents the constitution and the development of the contents found in subjects, guided by the perspective of the History of Subjects. The last moment deals with present knowledge in History of Art and its contributions to the formation of professors within the College of Arts of Paraná. The study takes place in the field of inquiry of School Culture that studies the school environment where practices were built, the knowledge and values of determined time. After having acquired all these information, there is a transmission and incorporation of knowledge, through circunscribed elements in space and time. From an operational point of view, the chosen methodology was the qualitative research, leaving from the analysis and interpretation of data/sources registered by the institution and also, as verbal source, the interviews of former-pupils and talking from the precursory teacher of the subject matter.
