Turismo no espaÃo rural da MicrorregiÃo de Garanhuns-PE : potencialidades e vulnerabilidades

RESUMO

This study objective was to verify the tourism viability of becoming a vector of local development in the five tourist potentiality cities, Bom Conselho, BrejÃo, Garanhuns, Saloà and SÃo JoÃo, located in the micro region of Garanhuns. The study development was directed to identify issues that could difficult the implementation of the tourism activities in the potencial areas. It suggests alternative actions that could solve some management problems looking for sustainable viability ecotourism. The methodology used for developing this study was divided in bibliographical and documental researches in the municipal, state and federal sphere, and country research visiting the local farms and interviews with the proprietors, users of the tourist services questionnaire application, as well as interview with representatives of the city halls of those related cities. It expects that the research results and the final considerations suggestions can contribute with the process of local development of the municipal districts, whose actions in the tourism activities need to conciliate competitiveness and sustainability
