RESUMO
This study concerns the Teatro Besteirol, remarkable drama genre of contemporary brazilian theatrical scene. It is presented an analysis of the plays Ladies na Madrugada and Quem Tem Medo de Itália Fausta, Teatro Besteirols forerunners, followed by the study of the theatrical works of Vicente Pereira, particularly the play intitled Solidão, a Comédia. It is considered the theatrical (comic) procedures used by the playwright in its composition as well as the reception by the critics.
