RESUMO

This study aims at analyzing the senses attributed to the evaluation in the routine of the competence-based education, expecting the pedagogical projects to change the professional practices, overcoming health problems and improving the health care of people and communities, contributing to the consolidation of SUS. The Nursing Course of Famema implanted the competence-based integrated curriculum in 1998. It can be observed, during its development, that the evaluative practice points to a gap between the evaluation proposed and the one which is done in the education routine. This study is relevant because it enables the recognition of features that carry out the process of change of the evaluative practice. This is a qualitative research which used the theoretical reference of analysis of the discursive practices and production of senses (SPINK, 2004). The data were collected from a focal group of seven professors who work at the Nursing Course of Famema, after signing the terms of free and clear consent, characterized in its composition and dynamics. We adopted the procedure of dialogue maps to show the data. The analysis was done from the linguistic repertory which favors the connection between the use given by the subjects of the research and the theoretical basis contacted during the investigation, together with the researchers interpretation. We traced four themes for analysis: Evaluative practice: reference pattern, object, instrument and activities intervening in the unsatisfactory result expression; Finalities, uses and function of the evaluation: recognizing the limitations and searching for commitment to learning; Fragmentation of the educational units and the expression of the evaluation result; Permanent Education and Evaluation Group: possible spaces for reflection on the evaluative practice. The analysis of the linguistic repertory indicated the sense of the evaluative practice connected with the traditional evaluation and the construction notion of competence. The cultural internalization of the traditional evaluation present in the professors and in the students constitutes one of the relevant aspects that favor the difficulties and resistance to the practice change. However, even in a smaller recurrence, there are attempts at renovation of production of senses to conquer the practice directed to the inclusion and committed to learning for all and, therefore, based on the democratic evaluation and on the notion of dialogue competence, aiming at the nursing education directed to the integral health care. The continuation of the change process of the evaluative practice requires the comprehension of the complex, multi-reference and uncertain reality; the co-building in process boldness; and that the educational institution intends to modify its role in reproducing the social system into the role of a reflective institution, integrated with the services of attention to health and aware of its political commitment to the transformation of the health reality.
