RESUMO

The companies need a information adjusted for your activities, causes the development of the information systems (IS). The investments carried through for the companies in this area have increased significantly, for this become necessary to analyze the factors that explain the use of the information systems. The factors become related with behavior and attitude of the individuals front the technology and the adjustment of this with the executed task. Knowing that exist particularitities in each hierarchic level and the executed tasks is different in each level, this study asks: If exists difference of use the information systems between the hierarchic levels? This survey objective to investigate the factors that explain the use of the IS in the accomplishment of the activities of the different hierarchic levels. Two hundred and thirty six responded the questionnaires, they are employees of a retail company, which use the IS to carry through the tasks. To understand the use of the IS, the determinative variable had been analyzed: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, intention of use, fit between task and technology. In the company, the use is not determined by these factors, being thus, is observed that other aspects not contemplated for the research exist that intervene with the use of the IS. The results had pointed that difference of use of the systems exists in accordance with the hierarchic level, being that the individuals of the operational level use the IS, on average, 10 hours more the too much levels. Beyond this aspect, it was verified that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, also, had demonstrated differences between the hierarchic levels, being that the management level perceives these factors better. For the constructs fit between the task and the technology and the intention of use were not identified difference between the hierarchic levels
