RESUMO
This work consists in an analysis of the indians image on the brazilian movie, achieved through the study of how the indian character is built and disseminated through the brazilian fiction films. It also consists in a filmography survey base don the appearance of the indian character, and analyses deeply two recent films ? Brava Gente Brasileira (2000) e Caramuru, a Invenção do Brasil (2001) ? considered paradigmatic of this accomplishment
