It was evaluated the B hepatitis seraprevalence in pregnant women, analizyng antigens and antibodies distribution from the studied population. It was researched HbsAg, anti-HBs e anti-HBc hepatitis markers by the MEIA (microparticles enzyme immuno assay) method in authomatized system AXSYM â Abbott. The obtained samples seraprevalence were 6,47% (9/139) HbsAg and / or Anti-HBc positive, 35,24% (49/139) Anti-HBs and / or Anti-HBc positive and 58,29% (81/139) were negative from all markers tested. After these, it was evaluated the immunity and or susceptibility searching relation between B hepatitis markers and population age. We concluded that B hepatitis in pregnant women has a high prevalence and the most susceptibility is between 21 and 25 years old, its a high sexual activity aged population and itâs possible to sugest a vigilance system to pregnant women and new borns babies who are accomplished in this service
