RESUMO

The Disturbance Rejection Problem with Linear-Quadratic Regulation (DRPLQR) is proposed as a way to obtain a solution for Disturbance Rejection Problem (DRP) with optimality characteristics. To this end, the analytical expression of all DRP solutions for a particular class of systems, and of some solutions for general systems, is derived using an approach that considers the related numerical questions. The obtained results are compared to other ones available in literature. DRPLQR is then formulated as a parameter optimization problem in L-Q regulators subject to structural constraints, such constraints being imposed by the parameterization of the controllers resulting from DRP solution. A specialized descent method, conceived to handle severe structural constraints, is proposed to solve the optimization problem. The performance of the method is discussed in significant numerical examples
