Sobre a crítica cinematográfica brasileira: análise da produção periódica nos últimos cinco anos

RESUMO

Having as object the cinematographic criticism published in different daily newspaper of different Brazilian cities, this work is focused on an exam of the relation between critic jornalist and their readers and, more specifically, on the readers cultural enhancement. The corpus is constituted by in a selection of critic reviews of Luiz Zanin Oricchio, from O Estado de S. Paulo, Jaime Biaggio, from O Globo, Tiago Faria, from Correio Braziliense and Inácio Araújo, from Folha de São Paulo published between january 2000 and december 2005. The research had as theoretical explanation the critic definition as proposed by Bento Prado Junior, the concept of public sphere such as defended by Jürgen Habermas, the aesthetic theories described by Jean-Yves Tadíe and the semioptics theories formulated for Roland Barthes and Yuri Lotman. Concerning the methodology, was made a valorative examination of the selected critics work. The corpus was gotten using the estratified proportional sampling method. Its analysis constituted the identification of the structural elements of the text and its relation with the general aspects of the speech, beyond the judgment used for the critics to make them. The analysis of the material allowed us to arrive at the following results: cultural enrichment of the reader. The hypothesis with that we work is that the examination of the film covering by newspaper can bring keys for the understanding of the processes of circulation of cultural information and of the formation of the taste of the reader, from which if it will be able to arrive at this works main axis: answer if the criticism are worried in, more than make a judgment of film values, to contribute in the audiences cultural formation
