ServiÃos residenciais terapÃuticos: o poder de contratualidade e o processo de reabilitaÃÃo psicossocial

RESUMO

The Psychiatric Reform is a movement for the emancipation of the individuals with psychic disruption that focuses on the Madness non-institutionalization. The proposal of the Therapeutic Residing Services (SRTs) is part of this process and it consists of a replaced chain instead of a mental health hospitalization. This work investigated the results obtained so far, in two SRTs, District II, in the city of Recife and they have been developed since 2002. In order to analyze and make a relation between the SRTs practice and the psychosocial rehabilitation presupposition, the proposal aimed to examine the way the contract power has been constituted for those in that kind of residence. According to the point of view of the movement authors, this research is based on the hypothesis that the increase of the ability in achieving negotiation and exchange in everyday life, defining interests and relationship to carry out life, would be the fundamental condition for the achievement of the psychosocial rehabilitation process, in the noninstitutionalization perspective. In this study, with an explorer approach, professionals and residents from the selected SRTs were interviewed. The subject matter of the collected material emphasized the central problem in terms of conceptual categories proposed, having a chance to reveal points of the experience that has been promoted in the SRTs. Such elements were researched: the technicians and the residents perception on everyday life of the psychiatric hospitals; the transition process to the SRTs; the residence (the arrival; technicians work in the residence; the rules constitution and the decision power; the everyday life); the residents social chain; income; the work and not work of the residents. After the observations, we assume that there is a gain for the residents high quality life in relation to their previous experience, as well as there are new ways to improve their lives, supported , not only by their mistakes, but by the positive aspects, because they are individuals of rights and wishes, beyond the signals and symptoms. The process is being built and has been done through the actions that go between the rehabilitation classical proposal â ability training, Tutelary and adaptation to the world of ânormalâ people, to the singular attention proposal and the search for the individuals possible autonomy
