RESUMO

The purpose of this dissertation is to discuss some terminologies that indicate questions related to restrictions in improvisation processes. It is proposed a review of some terms, observing specifically the composing action, trying to identify a field of restricted possibilities of autonomies decisions to the improvisator. For this, the start is the hypothesis that the improvisations is one of the different ways of composing dance, in which arrangements happen in the action of its performance. It is about a process which does not have pre-identified definitions about the development of actions and/or compositions. The unpredictable visibility happening in improvisation creates a series of questions that directs the focus of investigations shared between improvisators, such as, the search for avoiding the repetition of standards; the interest to amplify the repertory of movements and the attention over the composition; the intention to compose constantly new and surprising pieces of art; the search to preserve the spontaneous reactions in the decisions; among others. However, there are unpredictable restrictions over the improvisation, because there is no way how to avoid the habits. The experience makes the habits stronger and they are reorganized constantly, consciously and unconsciously, according with each situation that is showed to us, indicating a correct manner of acting according to the present context. Consequently, there is a field of possibilities to the occurrence of improvisation, that restricts as the conditions to its composition, under an unavoidable incidence of habits. Finally, we can say that improvisation occurs among regularities and divergences of regularities, in a relation between habits and contexts that can organize themselves in real time.
